For $1.80, you get a scoop of ice cream and a crispy waffle. The ice cream I chose is peppermint chocolate chip. The peppermint taste of the ice cream is just right for me, and the chocolate chips in it tasted extremely good. The waffle was still crispy after some time. Although I wouldn't suggest letting the waffle soak in the ice cream for too Long as it will become soggy and would not taste as nice. If when you are not hungry and looking for something light, you can consider getting this.
This is my first time trying food from the vegetarian Stall at Koufu, I ordered the Maggie noodle without any sides. I requested to have the curry gravy over the noodles. At first, I didn't have much expectations for this noodles as it doesn't look that good. However, when I had my first bite, the curry was sooooo good, it was very fragrant and had a little spicy kick to it. The Chili was also very surprising, it had a little sweet taste to it which I like it a lot. The spiciness of it, is also just right for me. I would totally go back again for this, although it is a little pricy.
At the nasi briyani store at NYP south canteen, not only they sell their famous briyani but also prata. I ordered their egg prata which are usually made in the morning (so dont expect it to be super piping hot and extremely crispy )... moving on to the review. The egg prata had enough flavour, and it was well cooked, however the only complain is that it is cold in the middle. If it was served hot and crispy it would have been better. The curry though, saved the day for me as not only the curry packed enough heat it also elevated the taste of the egg prata. If you're looking for prata and you want it quick, head down to south! Otherwise i would recommend the prata at foogle canteen
Bought this fried rice and added potato as a side from the Malay stall that is famous for its cheap and good food. This meal costs $1.70 only. The fried rice is very fragrant and the spiciness is just right for me. The potato is irresistible, the sweet and spicy taste of it makes me can't stop eating it, you won't be able to stop with just one serving. Totally will buy this again.
Newly opened in north canteen at nanyang polytechnic, this Japanese store sells affordable dishes for those who are on a tight Budget. This tori teriyaki don, cost only $2.90. The set consists of a rice bowl and also a bowl of soup. Although the chicken is a bit tough, but overall, the rice bowl tasted that not bad.
If you're looking for a quick and simple breakfast, head down to south canteen in NYP. At the muslim stall, they sell nasi lemak which is superb. It comes with 2 chicken drumlets which are fried nicely and packed with flavour. Also it comes with the standard egg, cucumber and peanuts. The chilli is very very nice, it is sweeter than the normal onces you can find outside, but at the same time it has a little bit of the spice tingling the end of your tongue when you swallow it. Oh did i forget to mention? Its only $1! All those for $1, come down quick in the morning before its all gone!
The noodle is very flavourful, perfectly cooked and the portion is reasonable. The fried Beancurd skin is still very crispy and has a slightly sweet taste to it. Although the taste of this dish is good, but it is considered quite expensive as the crispy Beancurd skin cost $1. Total price of this is $2.
Fluffy Egg Prata for $1.20. Originally located at the north canteen of NYP and it was recently moved. The prata still retains it's taste and quality. The prata has a very nice texture, cripsy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Whats new about this place is that they offer free flow curry now! There is a various of 3 curries to choose from, vegetable, fish and chicken. Overall it was a great experience, do comeby to have a try!
$1.50 breakfast set. Although sometimes the toast is soggy or sometimes the toast is burnt a little, but the set is still very worth it and is quite yummy! Worth a try
