Jumping into the "Healthy Bowls kind of meals" bandwagon, this is one of the new offerings available from the grossly famous Starbucks. At $7.90, IMO it is also grossly overpriced. The sweet potatoes can do better if it was more cooked. Nobody likes semi-cooked sweet potatoes (or maybe I'm wrong). Halfway through the meal, I looked at the ingredients list and was aghast to see Disodium EDTA as one of the additives in the red kidney beans!!).
At $12, this is definitely one of the better places to have delicious and good quality waffles. Wonderfully crispy outside and fluffy inside. Plus, you get to have the best of both worlds too if you are indecisive. Being a Tarophile, the taro ice cream was legit with bits of taro in it. Sweetness level can be a tad less, IMO but still acceptable. Service was very pleasant too, the lady who took and made my order was very customer oriented.
If it's from Twenty Grammes 😁
Wow! Loved the body and the rich crema. The latte art was eye candy too. The best part? At $5 (and 10% cashback for next visit if you use FavePay), it's totally worth it.
Ooh...waffles...who could resist them? Not me. Plain or dressed, savory or sweet, I can seriously eat them all day long!
From the same folks behind Stranger's Reunion and Curious Palette, this joint is another place you can have your waffle fix from. Cos their waffles are seriously scrummy-licious. However at $12 not including 10% service charge, it is quite pricey. But well...the toppings and the generous drizzle of maple syrup (though I should do with less), kinda made up for it I guess 👌
Wow...this has got to be one of the best Mocha I've ever had. At $5.50 (not including 10% service charge) it's totally worth it. I totally love the latte art as well! As I brought the cup to my mouth, the delightful whiff of delicious cocoa mixed with the full bodied aroma of coffee greeted me. Excitedly I took grateful sips and enjoyed the creamy concoction. I was transported to another realm. The music they were playing was also apt for the situation. A totally cool place to hangout, in my opinion.
I usually come here when I crave waffles or their An Pan buns. Their $8 waffles looks simple but delicious when eaten on the spot. Quite overpriced IMO. Service is usually unassuming but prompt.
You know I've never regretted ditching coffees from big multinational companies. This is one reason why. The iced latte was perfect for a warm late Friday morning. I'm already smitten ❤. By the way, the coffee they serve here is from Smitten!
This is really a quaint place situated in a most unlikely stretch of road. The cafe was very homey and cosy. I couldn't remember when was the last time I entered a huge and spacious hipster cafe. The people are friendly and helpful too. Food choices are limited and there are vegan lacto-ovo friendly ones. I had the Green Eggs on Toast ($8) and a Latte ($4). No service charge and GST. Place accepts only cash. Don't forget to check out the xhundredfold brand with many nice and curated lifestyle products. They are also located in the cafe. Definitely worth coming back here!
As I was around the area, I couldn't resist peeking through and decided to pop in. Tried their Cafe Latte and their Bostock ($8/set). Latte was good and the Bostock was a cross between breakfast and dessert 👍
A very cosy cafe in a very nostalgic neighbourhood with very friendly and welcoming staff. Yes, prices are a little on the steep side but they do use premium ingredients. Tried their Waffles (Gluten Free) with Scrambled egg and homemade sun dried tomato paste ($15.80). It was a very filling combination. Their Mocha: coffee from Allpress and chocolate from Varlhona ($6) was very full-bodied and delicious and worth every calorie IMO. I super appreciate and love the latte art sooo much! Place accepts credit card payments for those who are usually cold hard cash-less 😁
All the above were Fresh Milk teas (Native Black Tea, Oolong Lugo and Alpine). At $2.40 each, they were pretty worth it!!! Refreshing too. Thumbs up 👍👌👌
I didn't know it would come this tiny..perhaps only 150mL at most. With the $1 off coupon I had, it was ok for the price. There wasn't even any effort for any latte art? Or maybe a Piccolo doesn't need one?? 😜 Whatever it is, this is my 1st and last try for a Piccolo.
