I was struggling where to quickly get a cake after work and Publika seems like a good choice. Has their September special, Coconut cake, sponge cake layered with coconut jelly and coconut strips as the topping deco, an Oh-So-White cake, almost no deco 😅. It appear to taste quite decent except that I would prefer it to be slightly less sweet and more refreshing on the coconut jelly. It will be great. Price: RM50 for 0.5kg, Food: 7/10
Had a late lunch here with the pork porridge. Porridge were totally soft but a bit too thick. I guess it was boiled with just the 大头菜 and then cook with mince pork cube when customer order, that's why it is kind of thin in taste. But my sister pork soup noodle were pretty good. Price: RM5, Food: 5/10
Nailed it, I am not a beef person but I do love these tacos. In its unique mexican spices marinate sauce, it am enjoying it so much. Meat were break into small pieces, soft and easy to chew. Some slight onion refresh the tastebud. Everything was done nicely. Call it a call to have your mexican feast on. Price: RM15+, Food: 8/10
Mexican food store recommended by colleague. This is the best item on our table. Soft pumpkin with soft cheese is just superb when eating together with the grilled quesadillas. A must have in the shop. Price: RM15+, Food: 9/10
With the friendly price tag, Nak Won did not disappoint. This is not a thick soup, it is light bean soup comes with little spicy and a lot of shallot. Easy to go but may not be everyone's dish like kimchi soup. Price: RM18, Food: 7/10
A place to hang out with beer and really good porky dish. Now I can relate to the almost full house crowd at just 8pm for a bar. Food served was really up to the mark. My thin crust pizza was well as a snack or dinner, lightly seasoned but fast to become everyone's favourite. Price:
The one most famous item in this cafe - salted egg croissant is a little different from my normal croissant. I am able to pull long the thin layers of dough, salted egg sauce is top notch. This alone will already made it a hit, I will tell my friend to go and try this just by looking at its name. What makes it a little different is the sugary top crust we found on Polo Bun can also be found on this croissant. It makes a perfect match. Price: RM8, Food: 10/10
This cafe featuring books and food. You can come here with a book and exchange a book on the shelf, but it is not recommended to read here during peak hour as there are people keep flocking in. Red sauce was not very good, a bit on the dry side and taste too flat. It was served with 3 chicken meatball as it is a halal cafe. Price: RM14, Food: 7/10
Good Malay and Thai style food. Great variety, think is having the most variety of food in Sg Buloh. The shop run by buffet style, which cost only RM8.50 per person, you get food, water, dessert and refill as you wish. This is a superb value. Not to mention the taste was really good too. Will revisit this place whenever I crave for Malay food and Thai Kerabu again. Price: RM8.50 per pax for lunch buffet, Food: 9/10
Coffee Trail by Jason, I followed. This restaurant served humble food, from chinese style fried rice, fried noodle, rice with dish, to western chop. A vintage setting, family oriented business, familiar food for years are all that made it a place to be visit. The food were great, egg toast are crispy on the outside, and hot on the inside. Fried dong fun tasted superb, fragrant, a little wet, full of "Wok Hei", glad we ordered this. Price: RM10 per pax for a full meal with drink, Food: 9/10
Ended our Ipoh day trip with seafood in Tualang. Unfortunately the signature Tualang Udang Galah is sold out. As there is a lot of pond nearby, there are a number of seafood restaurant around. This was recommended by my friend. Taste of the dishes are good, but seafood wasn't tip top fresh. Nevertheless, we still enjoy our dinner. Price: RM44 per pax, Food: 7/10
Famous affordable western food in PJ. The sauce and the food was good, salty and tender, just the chef need to improve on the grilling skill, other than that, this is a really good place for western craving fix. Price: RM13, Food: 6/10
