A go to spot in Ipoh for Dim sum. Was the first time i heard of this place, the crowd surprised me. It was like more crowded than foh san and ming ge. How did I not know this place before. You have to stand beside a table to secure a place, then get the order chit, go to ordering counter to order. Many people choose to carry their food on their own as it cut short the waiting time. Dim sum was nice, prawn item are all fresh and chewy, all good! Price: RM26 per pax (We order really a lot), Food: 8/10
Have been wishing to go this place for quite sometime and finally the day has come. It fully live up to my expectation and deserve every bit of craving to come to here. It even outdo some Japan katsu shop right in Japan, quoted from my Japanese friend. It was the softest katsu meat I ever had in my life (I just want to use bombastic word to tell you how soft is it, but I don't have hundreds times of katsu experience though), it just break off easily with a bite. Breaded skin was neither dry nor too oily. Miso sauce I had is kinda salty, I still prefer to get katsu at its original taste or with plum sauce. Nonetheless, this was a greatly satisfying meal. Anyone would be able to fill up their tummy in here as rice, miso soup, cabbage is free flow, eat till you drop. All katsu set comes with a rice, miso soup, cabbage, and radish pickle. And not forgotten the cute raddish paste ball. We are unsure of the reason for it to be made into a small ball, but they are super cute. Price: RM30.90 before tax, Food: 10/10
Always a fan of malaysian traditional dessert, I was here today to fill my tummy with long missed ABC. Had a cendol red bean ice top with yam cubes. By just looking at it already caused me drooling. With a big stall such as this selling only ais kacang and tong shui, you are assured of the food quality. It was good to taste. I would give higher rating if they put in gula melaka and have the yam sprinkle with light salt. I guess it all will match perfectly and bring me to my own dreamland of foodie. Price: RM5, Food: 8/10
This restaurant offers a few types of Polo bun, the original, the version with butter, and the version with pineapple filling. I have the last one. I doesn't remember much about the pineapple filling, but the bun was fluffy soft. Price: RM4.00, Food: 7/10
Foo Fee is a popular venue in Manjalara, its food live up to sustain the popularity. Lunch set was quite a deal, certain menu item are offered at a good price come together with drink. My set has 2 sunny side up, some western sausage, some chinese sausage aka lap cheong, minced meat, mushroom, onion, and coriander plus serve with little round bread. This combination looks so much like a homecook, easy and yummy. Not to leave out is the soy milk, the sweetness is just nice. Price: RM14, Food: 9/10
One if the best place to soothe the throat will the here. Comfort drink, not too sweet, not too hot. Price: RM4.90, Food: 10/10
Ekocheras is growing to be a food hub in Cheras bit by bit, growing traffic can be seen. There are all kinds of food you can find here and this one caught my attention due to their affordable price. I was really surprised to find that this is my top in the Hong Kong style wanton mee list. It was perfect! Thin springy noodle are seasoned with light soy sauce and shrimp seed. Shrimp seed is in fact a more flavorful prawn item than a prawn itself, it was like matching bolt and nut to have this with wanton noodle. Wanton serving was very good too, fresh and chewy shrimp paired with hand-chopped pork mince, cooked to the texture I love the most. I do not have a photo, but another variety of wanton mee - the braised pork leg wanton mee deserved a 5 stars rating too. Only thing is that unless you are super fans of braised pork, else I would recommend to share it as the sauce itself is tasty but easy to feel gross too. Their service was very fast too, it is easy to figure out this as they have like 20 staff serving like 30 tables in the weekend. Thumbs up! Price: RM11.90, Food: 10/10
This place used to serve very valuable western set before, but it has change the menu and my favourite set is now gone. It is not as cheap as before, but the taste are still good. But next time I will order grill item than fried item, the batter was a little too thick. Price: RM8.00, Food: 8/10
Huckleberry seems to make more tasfully pastry while my liking is for lightly taste pieces, I will be more surprised by perfect texture, lightly seasoned. Price: Oops, I forgot, but it was around RM46 per pax for 2 pastry, 1 pasta, 1 soup, and 1 drink, Food: 7/10
My first attempt to this shop famous with pastry. This is a very sweet choice of mine, too much to content by myself. Not a good choice..... Price: Oops, I forgot, but it was around RM46 per pax for 2 pastry, 1 pasta, 1 soup, and 1 drink, Food: 5/10
Being a frequent to Sunway Velocity mall, this shop always caught my attention due to their simple and special food. Finally, i decided to try it today. I had the seafood soup pair with Hunan Bihun. Hunan Bihun is actually our Mi Xian. This bowl is a seafood version of Go Noodle. However, I am disappointed by its soup that is having that gamey pork smell, I have to put a lot of pepper and basically take every bite with the chili. Chili was really good, light and little spicy. As for the seafood ingredient, it is quite generous in the portion, there is clam, prawn and squid. If I could, I will have all the clam removed next time, they are not fresh, still stick with mud, i thrown about half of them. Price: RM9.90 exclude tax, Food: 5/10
Eagerly wanna try out this restaurant after seeing introduction in facebook. They offer set lunch ranging from RM10 to RM16 with choices of rice or western food. I had pork chop with pasta, as a set it comes with a drink. Food were not bad though you could find about same taste in hawker center in Sungai Buloh, and what I like the most is the chips and the variety of sauces available. Dip it with yellow mustard, my favourite match. Price: RM16, Food: 7/10
