The Classic Burger from Project Warung (a hawker stall at Golden Mile Food Centre) will only set you back by $4.50 (!!) and that includes fries or top up $1 for onion rings!
The beef patty is really legit and really well grilled and definitely value for money! We also loved the Country Fried Chicken Burger ($5!!) - for a more saucy treat!
One of the biggest headaches on having breakfast at a big hawker centre is to get the right cuppa from the right store. Recommended by MissTamchiak, my mum made sure she hunted it down. And boy, both the coffee and tea were so fragrant!!! It had a lingering aroma that stayed in your mouth every sip. The toasts were pretty decent - just think, thicker Ya Kun toasts with a similar Kaya spread. Do come early to skip the queues!
A little too heavy for breakfast for how sinful it gets but this is what happens when your lesson falls on lunch hour. Roasted Duck was quite decent with rather thick cuts though otherwise not really memorable (wish the skin could be crispier) while the charsiew had portions of both fatty and lean meat; fatty ones were soft and jiggly and while the lean ones didn't feel too dry, while carrying a crisp and sweet exterior that was almost reminiscent to bakkwa. Sauce is also immensely sweet, with almost everything on the plate being really heavy on flavours though the chili was more savoury and carried a pretty harmless level of heat that was rather negligible.
Seem like i had been teleported back to the day, when how kopi is brew by our grandparent era and the surrounding is simply like 1930.
It's like a ci zar style, but specialised in bee hoon and i loved lard cause always enhance the texture of the dish.
You able to get this affordable "Crystal Jade"wanton mee by former "Crystal Jade" head chef.
Loved the way how the toast present, it served warm and the butter melt into my mouth, when a bite on to it.
Breakfast for fei fei wanton noodle. I love how the noodle is springy and most important is the charsiew not the usual one we ate it.
Simple kaya butter bun,but it always feel comforting, when this is the kind of breakfast is serve.
Very rare, to see espresso machine in the hawker, to make a cup of good kopi with affordable price.
#hawkerfixed i chosen white kolo mee($4.50),the springy noodle and a lot minced meat cover it up.Overall is not bad but quite unhealthy! But who cares #好吃就好.
