A chicken chop that crackles and oozes. Egg like a pillow. Bolobao packed with butter and goodness. Yes please.

They're running a 1 for 1 offer for their bento, until 20 July. And just this starter is exquisite, the broth humming with umami, the egg swaying and yielding and silky.

It's not bad actually, with both the grilling and Flavours sufficiently hefty. But man, the service is another level of hilariously bad.

This restaurant is not long for the world, which to me is a travesty given how fragrant with liquor and oil these parcels are.

That char siew - made from loin I'm guessing - makes up in tenderness what it lacks in moisture. Duck doesn't need to make up for anything though.

The chewiness of the rice strips. The crisp, airy, charred lardons. Caramel and smoke wafting everywhere. Waiting ten minutes for this feels almost like a privilege.

So much wok hei in those noodles, to contrast with the crisp, jade coloured greens.

The hell have I been doing??? But here's a stalwart companion, sour spicy soup noodles.
