One of the very few operating food places in Kudeejeen, a quiet alley famed for Portuguese settlements. I had to find something local to eat to see the difference between Malaysian Portuguese and Thai Portuguese. Quite similar in terms of spices and flavor. But still something different from the usual Thai food. 39 baht for a plate.
The team of Locker are never afraid of experimenting. Playing with different ingredients and fermentation method, most cocktails here are inspired of Malaysian ingredients. The new menu is exciting and makes you laugh too.
I’ve been here since I was a kid. So it sparks fond memories. Best thing about them is they open all day and all night till like 5 or 6am which makes em perfect for supper. I love the coagulated pork blood (which is rare to find in KL), siham, Suan la Cai (sour spicy mustard green) and their daily soup is delish! If you eat a lot, costs around 20 bucks per person.
Forget healthy eating for a day. RM38++ with so much bacon it’s insane!
Look no further away when ones hunting for the ultimate comfort food. Juicy lala, comforting broth with all that steam.
It’s like a backpackers lodge, but omit the dodgy-ness of most backpackers spot. Walk 3 floors up, curse the stairs, then enjoy the RM10-15 beers from Chang to Carlsberg. Lovely cocktails, but hey, we only come here for the RM98++ tuak (should round up to RM120+-), which I would share with at least 2 friends.
The newly revamped Delicious offers RM10 beer a glass for the whole day with delicious bar bites (featured here is Korean Fried Chicken for RM18 only). A quiet and intimate spot with occasional live bands. Great spot for a intimate session, be it with someone from an app or acquaintance. However only open till 12am. Head to Attic after for a cheap night out!
Simple and fuss free place for a decent breakfast and coffee. The long queue in the weekend may be a turn off, but the fresh bagel and home made yogurt is one not to be missed
Love the cheecheong fun
