Unique sides, cheap BBQ (from RM9/100g) and just look at the price of the beer.

Great service too

RM 12 for one pax. Soft pork leg stew with one half boiled egg and brown rice. Flavourful! I like the paku with sambal belacan

With buy one free one wine too!

For 10 bucks, you can get a mug of beer all night long (free wine and other selected drinks on Saturday ladies night!), with quite a selection of games that are made for a drinking night. We especially love the Zenga (make a rule, yass).

The only problem is they don’t have house wine by glass here.

Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Music isn’t too loud or crazy like the neighbors, it’s a chill out place that’s great for conversation or weekday hangouts.

The prized and famed Rubia Galleda is priced at RM75 min depending on the cut.
Was disappointed that the bone marrow wasn’t available. And also the service of this place. Wanted to order two different cuts and different type of beef, instead the waiter told us that the minimum weight was 800gms per serving, talking bout a porterhouse or ribeye here, cos they can’t make it smaller ?!
The food. Meat was decent. However, my medium rare was about as cooked as another’s medium done. It was quite tough and chewy tbh. The fats could be rendered better too.
Sauce- salsa verde was delicious. Beef jus not too bad either.
Sides - mashed potatoes tasted like powdered potatoes mash instead of actual potatoes. Brussel sprouts tasted like sprouts.

This eatery has been around for more than 100 years and withstand 4 generations apparently. Queue wasn’t as bad. Wait is quite long. I ordered: Roast Platter (100baht) with roast duck, mixed pork sausage, Chinese sausage, siew yoke, char siew; duck neck, duck gizzard liver and one I don’t know. Egg noodles was springy, but dry and tasteless (no sauce nothing), mixed pork sausage was good, others were really just unimpressive. I think KL has way better roast platters and egg noodles, anytime.

The only food served in PiJiu Bar, and I think this is genius! Sadly the pork ham is not available. The platter features Smoked Duck Breast - soft and yummy, normal lapcheong- sweet and salty Chinese sausage, liver lapcheong, and ba gua with coriander seeds, which is unique and spicy. The platter goes surprising well with the beer, especially the stronger ones.

Stumbled upon another cute little beer bar serving craft beers from all over the world in bottles / draught. Ranging from 190baht to 250baht. My only issue was they serve only 1 Thai craft beer, which was quite sad.

Intimate, well curated list of gin cocktails such as Thai Tea and Chrysanthemums (340baht) or their affordable daily mix A and B (280 baht and 300 Baht) which is a surprise element. Nice playlist, no EDM junk, friendly staff, small bar, tables are limited (can fit 20 pax max) so get ready to squeeze when the night gets late.

The peppery soup here is addictive and uhhmayzing. It’s like pepper pork stomach soup with Thais koay chap, which is quite similar to chee cheong fun but more dense and meaty. Mixed with different parts of pork organs and siew yoke, the ingredients are super fresh and the soup is delicious. In love. Approx 30-50 baht per bowl.
