Supernormal is a japanese inspired asian restaurant thst serves up dishes with a twist.
Featured here is a beautifully roasted soft tender lamb with a delicious charred surface marinated in a sauce you’d want to mop up with the flat sesame bread provided.
Umami factor was the mint sauce and the generous portion that would certainly make this a must-have if you come by this restaurant for a meal.
$39.. priced right imho
Coffee Culture in Melbourne is like religion.. everyone follows his or her own favourite beans, cafe, shots and folks to share a cuppa with.
Seven seeds cold brew had a fruity non acidic tone to it and was surprisingly refreshing.
Looking forward to having my caffeine index upped in the next few days here!
Sous vide chicken, roasted broccoli and shallots crowns a base of delicious brown rice with raisins, nori seaweed, pop rice and furikake.. ticked in all boxes of delicious and umami.
Served with a side soup to add flavour and moisture.
For $16.50 hell, yes!! Take my money already 😋😋
I love avocado on toast and old hen certainly did it good. Topped with dukkah, hazelnuts and perfectly accompanied by a poached egg.
The star of the show however was the avocado cream spread on the sourdough which was delicious
Only grouse was the price.. $16.50 a tad too expensive i feel but notwithstanding, a well put together dish
Fat Belly lives up to its reputation of serving good steaks at affordable prices coupled with a chill ambience and affable staff. Restaurant didn’t have the usual steakhouse smell which will be a plus point for your clothes and hair😊
I preferred the Onglet which was done medium rare with just a sprinkle of salt to flavour it.
Will defo return!!
The star of the show for me👏🏼👏🏼. Wet Runny Eggy and chock a block full of fresh seafood .. tart big prawns, scallops, sqiud and just enough pork lard to flavour it. And it didn’t have to rely on much garlic to bring out its true flavoursome self.. just the way I like Hokkien mee💕
If you’re the dry type this ones not for you but if like me your Hokkien mee runs like soggy heaven.. come join the party!
Different take on kueh pie tee.. no bangkuang here. Lobster and lumpfish roe mayonnaised with a base of starfruit occupies a fried wanton skin shaped to masquerade as a pie tee.
It was delicious and worth it.. 4 disguised pietees at $15 the only downside being served cold.
Good as a starter to share
Well presented with garlic chips on the side this dish was a well executed medium rare ‘heong’ piece of beef.
Portion was a wee bit small and a tad expensive and at $38 you gotta be a big fan of beef to order this
Located within the sixsenses hotel Duxton road yellow pot serves delicate delicious morsels of chinese cuisine. Waitstaff was excellent and altogether it was a great dining experience
This starter was robust and very tasty. The mushrooms arrived in deep fried cubes with an avocado paste coating. Texture was like chicken meat and paired well with the avocado.
Was it worth the $16? Aye!
Avocado smash with furikake and ramen eggs on toast $15.. whilst I enjoyed this thoroughly my lunch buddy had the coq du vin for free as i used 1-1. Cafe was chill food was great and owners were lovely. The only downside being accessibility but if youre ever in the area this is a gem u wouldn’t want to miss
Cakes however were meh.. skip these for other calories worth a better taste.
The must have though would be the iced cocoa a really honest to goodness chocolatey treat😜
Lovely to look at, this bowl of goodness had beetroot goji berries broccoli turnip tempeh and a tangy sesame dressing reminiscent of yu sheng. Prive at ACM is one of my favourite prives
with an old school tuckshop feel and 80s playlist.
Plus point is the walk along the less crowded side of Boat Quay with a picturesque view of the Singapore river and cbd area
Oh and did I forget to tell you about their salted caramel gula melaka cake which had us going oooooh?!😜
Pretty and tasty, avocado smash with a sous vide egg sits amidst a garden of greens atop a slice of toasted sourdough. Good for small eaters but I was hungry and it didn’t hit the satiety level for me.
Place was chill and the staff very friendly so tops that!
