Came back for the 2nd time because I love the food here. Decided to give the dimsum a try this round and I highly recommend the yam & pumpkin dish (top left) tastes really good and it's sth special! My favourite appetiser was the carrot cake in egg and XO sauce (top right) 8.5/10 wew! The other dishes were up to expectations as well and those in the photos are some of my preferred ones (such as the grilled king prawn with chef's miso sauce served with angel hair pasta in black pepper sauce)! Posting to remember what I ordered so I can head back next time to order what I liked!π
Yeap that's the Wok Fried Mashed Fish Noodle with Lobster in XO sauceπ! Overall dining experience was ππ»ππ»ππ» because of these few must-try dishes: deep fried fish skin coated with salted egg & satay sauce (9/10), Crispy fried eggplant tossed with pork floss (8/10), shark fin soup served in Japanese steamed pot [I know I'm sorry sharks >< but the soup was amazing (9/10)] , and the steamed fish with sauce/soup (8/10)! Note to self: Must bring fam here to try on special occasions!βΊοΈ
very good, especially if you love truffle :)
My least favourite amongst the rest I tried here. The taste of yam was so indistinct I wouldn't have known it was yam in there, and where's the scallops/prawns as promised??
The pork filling is pan fried beforehand and slightly fattier than usual, resulting in extra fragrance and a nice bouncy bite!
Ever since I had a 'crispy' cheong fun in Hong Kong 2 years back I've been hunting for something similar in SG n I've finally found one at XinYue! The thin crispy threads of fried flour embedded within not only add contrasting texture, but are also perfect for soaking up the soya sauce!
