Had a chance to try the new limited time Strong Burger from Heavenly Wang, which was previously served to full-time National Servicemen army recruits (NSFs) before their 24km route march in December last year. Featuring thick and juicy teriyaki chicken thigh in between sweet herb ciabatta bread, this was an enjoyable burger!
Heavenly Wang is currently having an exclusive promotion for the burger: $5.40 for ala-carte, or $7 as a set with Wang’s homemade iced lemon tea! There is also a 10% discount for NSF and NSMen who flash their 11B or Home Team NS identification or show up in uniform. It is also available on major delivery platforms too.
The congee itself could be a bit bland to some, but I like it this way. It comes with fried dough fritter which paired really well with the congee. Simple home made taste.
And who wouldn't opt to order their set that comes with toast, especially when they are known for them!
The quintessential breakfast dish of hot and crispy brown toast, slabs of cold butter, and a thick layer of kaya. Biting through the light and airy toast and into the salty butter and sweet kaya made for a satisfying mouthful. Served alongside soft-boiled eggs as the perfect dip. Completed with a hot cup of tea. A solid version that is able to rival Ya Kun’s.
This came with brown rice for $7.00.
Chicken wasn’t tough and was tender. Was not that spicy so that was nice.
Also felt that this could do with more sauce to finish this dish nicely.
Ordered this on grabfood, original price $6.40.
Came with veg, egg, 4 pieces of fish, and 2 lychees. Came nicely presented and was rather filling.
Felt the dish didn’t have enough sauce but was a really decent dish. Got this on a major discount on grabfood though, so it was real value for money.
Kaya butter toasts with tea and soft boiled eggs! Comforting food to start the week right! .
