One of my old-timer, all-time faves at Amoy market. Look at all the silky smooth mushroom I got for $1!
I added dumplings (水饺) and mushroom into my bowl of wanton mee for a total of $6.20
They were generous with the wantons, there was 5 pieces of it in my small wtm. Personally I don’t fancy the super thin noodles they use in wtm. Hence this wouldn’t make it to my list of best wtm around.
The noodle is springy and the chilli is good. However, the wanton skin is a bit too thick for my liking.

The old maxwell road OG moved here over 8 years ago and he is still rocking the family recipe despite removing beef brisket from the menu. Even the braised kailan & mushrooms are exceptional.
Back here for the springy noodles and well roasted char siew!
There are few stalls here selling wanton noodle, with this one located at the corner on 2nd floor. I like how chewy their noodle was and generous amount of char siew and mushroom. $4.50
