As much as Kaiju is known for Japanese Thai fusion, this Malaysian local dish is definitely one to try. Customised sweet and sour sauce, blended ginger, generous serving of marinated chicken thigh...mhmm, comfort food that cannot go wrong!
The Bara Chirashi Don at Kaiju’s is definitely one that you should try due to its authentic flavours and generous servings of raw seafood. It was a balanced bowl, with ratio 1:1 of rice and raw seafood - not many restaurants do this. They don’t serve pickled ginger at the side to wash your palette after your meal cause it’s mixed in the Don itself, giving a wholesome dining experience! Love, love this version of Barachirashi!
Maitake mushroom, nahm prik num, truffle oil, brown butter, pine nut, fried garlic and spring onion.
My favourite dish during our visit, the nahm prik num got a slight mint taste which very nice.
Average bara chirashi, proportion of rice to ingredient was significant lol. If you're craving for bara chirashi, this would hit the spot. I had the milk tea as well, while not too sweet it wasn't strong enough in my opinion. But overall, a nice casual spot for a Thai-Jap fusion meal.

Been here a couple of times, less crowded now - for a Saturday noon.

Would you pay 💰 > RM30 for a rice bowl? 🤔
Every time I’m here I always want to try something else, but I always come back to their Tom Yam Noodle Soup. The seafood in the noodles isn’t very fresh, but I like the broth! The broth is sweet, creamy and spicy but it does lack the sour punch that comes with tom yam.
