I remember seeing an insane throng of people clustered outside the Smoothie House flagship outlet in Taipei, all eager for some cool respite in the form of soft, fluffy shaved ice – yes, ice can be "fluffy" too – served with fruits and a wobbly blob of pudding.
Frankly, though, I prefer bingsu.
This is the Mini sized version, yoghurt & a variety of toppings atop the shaved ice. The yoghurt is light and of course you can never go wrong with yoghurt & berries plus bananas, such a great combination. Light dessert yet leaves you feeling satisfied! I will not hesitate to order the regular sized if I'm having a lighter main course. Mini priced at $7.90
