The siew yoke is alright, they’re not really known for it.
This place is known for their char siew and chicken feet. This is something special because it’s not just wrinkly skin, but tender skin that’s layered with fat that melts in your mouth.
Seriously bouncy, fatty and intense. Amazing char siew. Please get it here when you’re in KL!
Easily the best char siew in Cheras and a little further beyond. Having moved to this air-conditioned restaurant from an old Peel Road location, Char Siew Yoong seems to have lost none of its loyal followers. The place is full at lunch hour, with families and working adults swarming for pork. Chopped to thick cuts, the char siew is perfectly layered in tender meat, a small but significant amount of luscious fats as well as that crisply charred edge. It also gets a healthy dousing of sweet, dense char siew sauce. Rice is well-oiled, fragrant and smooth while still keeping its plump, white appearances. Altogether, these make the ultimate comfort meal. There's also a decent Steamed Nyonya Fish and vegetables to make it feel less like a pig out.
