Kopitiam, translated as 'coffee shop', is where Malaysians seek comfort in simple offerings that often includes toasts, eggs and coffee. Yet among the myriads of kopitiams in KL, Thong Kee stands out as they serve unconventional toasts and breads β you don't usually see homemade croissants on the menu! Join the locals as they swing by for breakfast which revolves around their specialty Croissant with Kaya and Butter (RM5.90) which Burppler Kimberly Ong thoroughly enjoyed for its crispiness. On savouries, fill your tummy up with the Ham, Egg and Cheese Croissant (RM7.90). Croissants aside, there are also options like the Hainan Toast with Butter and Kaya (RM1.90) for a more local experience. Pair your bread with the 1+1 (RM2.50), a luscious mixture of coffee and tea.

It's been a trend of eating MiXian since made famous by Go Noodle, I am happy to see that happening since I love MiXian a lot. This hawker center served many savoury noodles, this MiXian is one of them. Though taste is not as distinctive as the famous chain shop one, it is still a good one. Light soup, a little salty, great to go with MiXian. However, the ingredient could be better if the owner could choose slightly better quality meat and vege. Price: RM7, Food: 7/10
Itβs very rare for me to like a kopitiam as hygiene is something that Iβm very worried about because I have a weak stomach :( However, thong Lee is always my first choice when I wanted to eat in kopitiam.
Ham and Egg Croissant @ RM6.90 only. Perfect to kick start Sunday morning!
I would say skip this and go for the kaya butter instead. Eggs were under seasoned and made the croissant quite soft.
Don't miss out trying the 1+1. A mix of coffee and tea, it was one of the best I've tried.
