Ordering is fuss free, just let them know what you’d like and if you want to exclude/add on any toppings. Though not exceptional, it was still quite a nice dessert to slurp down in the heat. We enjoyed the lightly sweetened kidney beans but would have liked more ice and gula melaka.
If you’re eating in, you can choose to have it in Joo Hooi Cafe or bring your bowl and walk 2 stalls down to the stall’s own eating space (indicated by a green shelter).

There may be a long queue but it moves really fast. I like that the serving is small enough to not let you feel too full, and still allow you to go for more food. The bowl of goodness goes well together especially how the mung bean jelly is so smooth. You can stand around to eat your chendol or enter the seating area (there are many seats inside. You just need to check with the hawker). Personally, I still prefer the Malacca chendol cos their gula melaka is much thicker and more fragrant.
Cost: RM3/bowl
RM4.
This is the best chendol I’ve ever tasted in my life.
It’s ice blended with the right amount of syrup and creamer.
You will never forget this chendol stall.
The reason why we were there in the first place was because of this teochew chendol. The green jelly is made similar to spaghetti noodles instead of worm-like. It was smooth with hint of Pandan. I would say the gula melaka is really good, the smokiness, with butterscotch and caramel notes 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Together with the crunch and sweetness from kidney beans, can I queue again for another bowl? Don’t be turn off by the queue, it runs quickly. .
Teochew Chendul from RM2.90.

There’s often a tussle between which is better, the ones from the blue bowl stall or the red bowl stall. Our gang prefers the blue bowl. Nothing like a bowl of icy chendol to cool you down on a hot day.
Whilst I found the sauce not gooey and thick enough and a little more peanuts would be great, this was still quite nice. Maybe I’ve been deprived far too long.
