Not the most photogenic cake, but this was BOMB. Soft, moist, filled with cempedak pieces, and so much sweetness from the fruit itself. We loved it so much we went back and picked up another 2 cakes. This is supposedly dairy free as well and is only available for a limited time while the fruit is in season.
The lapis is made with fruits that have been soaked and preserved in rum for a whole year. Every layer of the lapis is also perfumed with rum to ensure every bite is filled with the natural sweetness from the rum and fruits.

Kinda pricey for this small choux pastry but it’s packed with flowing salted yolk custard and salted yolk chunks.
As you can see, it’s so moist. A bit too sweet for me. Prefer the one at Tiong Bahru Galicier.
This is just crunchy mini sugar puff (without cream). Kids love it!
