One of the three legendary white coffee brands in Ipoh but this actually fared quite badly. Though the place was packed with locals and foreigners, I feel that this cup of white coffee ($1.90) cannot hold a candle to their rival, Sin Yoon Loong, who is housed directly opposite the road. What Nam Heong is lacking is the “coffee-ness” and aroma, it almost felt like this cup came out from a 3 in 1 sachet.

Nothing beats the hor fun here okay haha. So good that I got no comment towards it. Other than that, their char kuey teoh very nice also! Didn’t get to try their egg tarts so sad.
Since there are so many good comments on their egg tart, I have decide to take away some egg tarts. Each piece costs RM2. There is quite a long queue lining up for the egg tarts and it makes me have a high expectation. For me the egg tart is just okay only and nothing special.
5/10
Simple egg tarts. The custard was slightly firm and not sweet. The crust was good and not flaky or easily crumbled. Perfect pairing with Ipoh white coffee.
Tried this as well as the curry mee. Though they stated name of dish as Hor Mee it was Hor Fan soup with fish cake, fish balls and meat balls. The Hor Fun was silky smooth and the soup was perfect!
Got in early to try this. Curry noodles with chicken and cockles. The curry was nice and tasty, not thick or overpowering. The spiciness was just perfect. Can’t get this in Singapore.
