"It doesn't get more romantic than savouring Italian food over killer views of the city skyline. Billed as Kuala Lumpur's highest venue, Marini's on 57 (located on the 57th floor of the third tower of KLCC) is exactly where to go if you're sparing no expense this Valentine's Day. The super indulgent eight-course menu (RM1,599 per couple, RM1,999 for a windowside table) pulls out all the stops with the likes of Servruga caviar, fresh sea urchin, Maine lobster and Kobe beef, all served on elegant Christofle silverware. Reservations are essential, and be sure to dress in your most impressive outfit.
Not ready to part with RM84.80 (RM26.50 for locals) to go up Petronas Twin Towers' Skybridge and Observation Deck? Sure, it's not level 83 or next to the spire, but you can admire the majestic towers up close with a drink in your hand at almost half the price instead! Cocktails here range from RM35-45, decent wines by the glass at about RM40 and beer from RM25 (among many other tipples). From 5-9pm daily, they have a small selection of promotional 'Sunset Hours' drinks too.
The best part? There's no minimum spend to reserve a table, so call ahead and request for one of the coveted tables outside or at least next to the window (if they only have the inside seats left). The music is considerably loud inside, so if you're here with friends and plan to catch up, you can also approach one of the floor staff and request for the next available table outside.
They gave me a PICNIC, and EVERYTHING was edible.
The picnic cloth can be eaten. See that lipstick? Can also be eaten. It's chocolate. Beneath that is a chocolate brownie, summer chocolate served with peaches, cherries, chocolates and gelato.
By the way, it's at the 57th floor of KLCC. Super beautiful.
