Refreshing chilled dessert consisting of icy shaved ice, soft tiny green pandan rice flour jelly, sweet crunchy red bean, creamy coconut milk, and a touch of gula melaka. Simple, quite icy, moderately sweet, and cooling. A pretty standard dessert that’s good for all generations, as the sweetness suits all ages.

Got a large bowl of noodles to fill my belly, but the portion felt no different from the small bowl. Lol. Gone in a few bites. Increasing price, decreasing portion, depressing moments.
The thick, chewy noodles came with minced meat, braised mushroom, veggie, sous vide egg, and of course, the mildly spicy special chilli paste that tied the dish together. Taste-wise, it was a normal savoury profile with a little heat and slight creaminess from the egg. Also felt the chilli portion was kind of little. Comes with a small bowl of soup.

Today have burnt on Kway teow, light wok hei, not oily or sweet, cooked with prawns, lap cheong and pork lard.
💰$7
📍Malaysia Boleh.
Northpoint #B1-194
the reason is near my house, the food option are a lot (for Northpoint outlets), and majority is good.
This time I tried the Damansara Chilli Pan Mee. Thick chewy noodles toasted in their chilli sauce and egg, served with minced meat, braised mushrooms and vegetables.
Downside portion is too small for $6 and can’t add more chilli 😆.
💰$6.
📍Malaysia Chiak.
Northpoint city B1-194.

The char kway got light wok hei, not too oily, served with prawns and pork lard.

If you stay in the North, this is the place to visit for Malaysian street food! There are many stalls here selling common Malaysian delights such as Penang chendol, char kway teow, chilli ban Mee and of course, the Penang Hokkien Mee! Note that the Malaysian Hokkien Mee is a soup dish and it differs from the dry Hokkien Mee we commonly find in Singapore.
The broth was the highlight as it was really flavourful and you can tell that it has been boiled with prawns for a long time. The broth was also slightly spicy as it has dried chilli paste mixed into it so you may not want to get this dish if you are not good with spicy food! Also, if you do not like the yellow noodles, you can request for the stall to change the noodles to bee hoon as well!
For $5, this is a very affordable dish!
