Extremely worth the money. Claypot rice was fragrant and well seasoned. There were lup cheongs, chicken and salted fish. It all went really well together. Burnt rice tasted so good too!
After searching for so many years, this is the third place that serve Penang prawn mee that I happened to find! Aromatic flavourful soup with a hint of sweetness & a little spiciness! I wanted more Chili but they didnβt have and said itβs already mixed in the soup. Wasnβt spicy to me and this bowl was just missing veggies.
π : The Centrepoint malaysian foodcourt at the basement. They sold other malaysian food too and everyone was eating claypot rice. My bowl cost $5!
Rich and sour! Just like how a good assam laksa should be. π
This stall sells both Penang fried kuay teow and oyster omelette. Price around $5 a plate.
Not as good as some of the more popular oyster omelette at hawker centre but it's still good enough. Just a bit too oily.
We rate this 6.5/10. Try the prawn mee next door if you are here.
A good Claypot rice also requires good flavour and nicely crisp rice at the bottom of the pot. To our surprise, we found a relatively good one at the basement of Centrepoint. Malaysia Chiak serves Penang food and this Claypot rice is worth the mention. Tender Chicken, Salted Fish and the yummy rice crisp. If only they added Lup Cheong to it and it will be perfect!
