Must Try
Lunch was sold out by 2:30pm! I picked the Famed grilled cheese sandwich, half worried that it may not be enough to tide until dinner. My friend chosed the tiramisu.
Biases towards fancy baguettes and cheeses aside. This was a satisfying grilled cheese sandwich for days! Its a simple classic combination of ingredients that is easy on the senses.
I didnāt have room for tiramisu but my girlfriend swore by it. She loved the good dose of alcohol.
Heard that we have to wait for 30mins for the food which was a bit shocking for us. The food came 15 mins after we ordered which is actually acceptable. The oven baked molten eggs is just nice and goes well with avocado and salmon. I took hot chocolate this time but wish it could be a little bit thicker and less milky.
FisherChef is a new stall at The Bedok Marketplace and is right opposite The Burning Oak. Not every casual eatery has a place serving up Japanese rice bowls with fresh fish flown in twice a week and the now ubiquitous tendons (thanks to the kohakus and ginzas).š±
My Kaisen Don looked pack to the brim and loaded with ingredients! Salmon, tuna and swordfish were all present, but so were chuka idako, spicy diced tuna and flaked salmon topped off with mayo..? Overall it seemed like quite a confused bowl with wayyy too many things going on where the oil from the spicy tuna even started pooling at the bottom. That said, I really appreciate the generosity with the ingredients and a simple fix would just be to cut out on the extras and just focus on the main stars. š
