Yesterday's Mexican situation. Love everything about Super Loco – the food, the decor, the location, the colours... Yeah, Super Loco is a super way to start the day, any day.

Further mention for the churros, which were nicely crispy on the outside, fluffy and almost cake-like on the inside, and which left a coat of cinnamon sugar for me to lick off my lips with every bite I took.

An unexpected piece of Mexican heaven at predominantly Asian-fusion restaurant, Kilo at Pact, this weekend brunch item has smoky grilled prawns tucked inside fried tortilla shells, topped with chipotle mayo, avocado cream, pico de gallo and a fried egg.

Feeling the onset of the midday munchies amid the fogginess of my sleep-deprived brain; I've been having very poor sleep the past couple of nights.

Suddenly have this mental imagery of faceplanting into this yummy mess of nachos, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. You can't see, but the corn chips are actually thoughtfully layered with melted cheese and minced beef.

So much love for Lucha Loco's food – every thing that they bang out of the kitchen is sure to be loaded with flavour, it's like fireworks in the mouth.

This prawn taco jazzed up with a chipotle dressing and fresh salsa was so utterly delish that I didn't mind getting my hands messy – imagine sauce dribbling down my fingers and palm – in the process of devouring it.

Back at one of my favourite, "top 5" restaurants in Singapore for solid Mexican food. It's on the pricey end of the scale, but I know I'll never be disappointed with the taste and quality of the food here.

Just a couple more hours until the weekend officially begins. Meanwhile, I'm dreaming of these cinnamon sugar-dusted Mexican dough fritters with orange chocolate sauce – this latter this spiked with mezcal for a tinge of alcohol because, why not?

Super Sunday guaranteed with Super Loco's Super Rancheros – two layers of soft tortilla sandwiching a surprise filling of ham and gooey cheese, with impeccably cooked sunny-side-ups, crispy bacon and sour cream piled on top. This ranks as probably the most satisfying brekkie dish I've ever had.

Just a matter of hours standing between me and the weekend. So looking forward to it, but what I'm anticipating even more is a return trip to Super Loco for their Super Weekend Brunch menu.

The Breakfast Burrito is one hefty wrap neatly packed with pink slices of grilled steak, scrambled egg and Mexican beans. Hearty, satisfying and wildly delish.

Mid-week Mexican with @shauneeie and @mshazeltan who travelled from Tanjong Pagar to lunch with me near my office. Yay! Portions are huge at the $15+ flat rate per item. Burritos, tacos, salads, nachos, quesadillas and rice bowls can be customised with your choice of protein and salsa.
The fish quesadillas (6 pieces) grilled with gooey cheese turned out to be my pick of the lot, as the diced pork fell unfortunately bland against my tastebuds.

I liked the texture of the soft corn tortillas caressing their filling of pork and tangy pineapple salsa, but quickly learnt that the tacos had to be eaten chop-chop before they turned into soggy-bottomed messes.

The creamy guacamole dip is worth ordering simply because nachos and smashed avocado were made for each other.

Long last day at work and all I'm craving for is this bread-less "burger" with a massive beef patty SMOTHERED in the tastiest cheesey Mexican sauce with salsa and sour cream and jalapeño. The buns are replaced with a side of nachos and all I can say is, corn chips > bread. This comes with a side of fries and coleslaw too. Ohhhhh yeahhhhhhh..

Soft caramelised bananas wrapped in fried tortilla, drizzled with dark chocolate ganache, and served with lemongrass ice cream on the side. The ice cream was kick-ass!!!

It's big, it's thick, and crammed full of rice, grilled chicken and peppers. Not the best burrito I've had, but it's hearty and quite delicious with the sour cream.
