Hawker Eats × Laksa 叻沙 🍜
This laksa had a decent mix of ingredients — half an egg, tau pok, fish cake, cockles and bean sprouts but the gravy was a letdown. Instead of the usual thick, creamy consistency, it was diluted and lacked depth. On top of that, there was an unexpected sourness that threw off the balance, making the whole bowl feel off. While the toppings were fine, the weak gravy made it hard to enjoy 》$5.50

Served in a claypot, this laksa stays warm and comforting till the last bite. The rich, lemak broth clings perfectly to silky thick bee hoon, while juicy prawns, shredded chicken and fresh cockles add layers of flavour. Tau pok soaks up all that creamy, spicy goodness and a spoonful of sambal brings just the right kick. Despite the short queue, service was a bit on the slower side 》$8 / Large
Thick bee hoon with beansprout, cockles, fishcake and prawns in flavourful laksa broth filled with coconut goodness then topped with a dollop of sambal chilli and laksa leaves. The noodles are cut short and meant to be easily eaten with a spoon with laksa broth. The broth is flavourful and creamy yet not thick in texture which makes it drinkable with the noodles. It is a comforting bowl of laksa except being a little small in portion for the price 》$5
The laksa here is served as a typical Katong laksa style with only a spoon and no chopsticks. The broth cooked using charcoal is light, mildly spicy and flavourful with coconut and hae bi flavours. The standard portion is quite small even for a small eater like me. Probably just enough as a snack or light meal. Add-ons are available at $1 for their noodle, soup, cockles and fishcake or $0.50 for bean sprouts 》$3
My first and last try before they closes (contract ends) on 31 Dec 2017. They sell laksa, pork ribs noodle soup, pig tail prawn noodle, prawn noodle and curry chicken in claypot.
The laksa comes with beansprouts, cockles, fish cake and prawns. It has a light creamy broth but I feel it's missing the richness of the coconut milk. Pretty decent but not wow.

My usual weekend breakfast. The stall closes once they finished their laksa gravy 👍

I'm in a relationship with food. Why can't we just declare our never ending love and vows towards some food item? I'm sure that would not result in divorces.
