We visited chir chir chicken on the 13th of June for dinner and the dinner was really good. The dishes were well prepared and gave the chicken a rich taste. The service provided was excellent too. Highly recommended for chicken lovers looking to try a new style of cooking.
This restaurant is a normal family F&B business. The prawn noodles served were decent and I really enjoyed the broth. The location however, is not as accessible as I hoped it would be. Recommended for prawn noodle enthusiasts looking to try different tastes of the dish. I would say it is overall a good experience.
Lunch at Gyu.co was overall quite good. I had the Gyudon while my partner had the Mentaiko Salmon Don. I would like to recommend the chawamushi served here if you do visit this place. It is well prepared with better texture in comparison to other equally priced alternatives. The location however, is not very near to the MRT but easy to find with the help of google maps. The noise generated from the train tracks beside it made it slightly tougher for quality conversation. Recommended to diners looking to have a quick satisfying lunch. Other than the noise, I would say the experience here was pretty good.
The visit to Masizzim was really worth it. Its location in 313 Somerset made it really accessible. The portion served was really worth the price. I especially enjoyed the bibimbap and rice balls served. The egg rolls were really tasty as well. It was overall a really enjoyable experience, my partner and I both had our cravings for korean food satisfied. Highly recommended for diners looking for a filling and satisfying meal.
The visit here was really eye opening, this restaurant was culture rich and well decorated, perfectly presenting itself as a restaurant that takes pride in its Russian cuisine. The food served were unique to the tastebuds of both me and my partner, definitely worth a try. The owner of the place was really nice and pleasant. To top off the experience, the restaurant overall gives off a very cosy and homely feeling too.
It was a pleasant visit to this restaurant with my partner. The steak here went well with the wine served with it. Both the steaks we ordered were well prepared and the mushrooms that came as a side dish were simply delicious. Overall really worth the price, and the ambience was good too.
As a fan of Japanese food, I was really looking forward to the dining experience at Shukuu Izakaya and it did not disappoint at all. The place was really bustling with business and it can be seen that everyone is having a great time enjoying the food, company and environment. I ordered the Salmon Don and the chefs recommended skewer to share with my partner. The beef was really savoury and juicy, and the portion was really a generous one. I really have to give credit to the skewers as they were really well grilled and prepared. We especially enjoyed the mushroom skewers as they really brought out the extraordinary taste and flavour of the mushroom well. It was overall a great dining experience and we would love to visit again to try other different items listed on the menu.
The Communal Place was rather empty when we visited due to the odd hour, but had bustling business by nightfall at dinner time, which was quite commendable given its slightly inconvenient location on the map. However, the food and service served at the restaurant were really worth a mention, which explains its popularity despite its location. The staff there were really friendly and easy-going. I ordered a miso salmon, and the rich savoury taste of the dish pleasantly surprised me. Overall, my partner and I really enjoyed the food and ambience there, and would like to recommend it to other couples out there looking for a casual date, if you don’t mind the travel of course!
I was really pleased with the ambience and atmosphere of the whole place, it was so chill and quiet, temperature was a little too cold so do bring along a jacket if you are not a fan of coldness. The staff there was very accommodating and friendly, and adjusted the room temperature when we enquired about it. They displayed high levels of professionalism and knowledge about their in house menu and ingredients too. We loved the steak that was served and the wine we were recommended compliments the steak well. Loved the side dishes, especially the truffle Mac and cheese. Overall an excellent place to bring your significant other on a date to, with food, drinks and atmosphere matching up to the price that you are paying.
The salmon had really crispy skin and the sauce that came together with it complemented it well. Really love their fries as they were really crispy and well done. Overall had a pleasant dining experience due to the really chill atmosphere there which I thoroughly enjoyed with my partner.
