Donburi 🍚
The miso pork belly bowl comes with homemade pickled cabbage, yakiniku sauce, onsen egg, sesame seed, spring onion and chunky slices of pork belly laid on top. The pork belly was thick and slightly charred to a nice burnt flavour. It was tender and juicy but I couldn’t taste the miso. Dipping it with the yakinuku sauce helps with the flavouring 》$17.90
Torched mentaiko on sliced salmon sashimi, topped with Japanese cucumber tobiko and ikura. The thickness of salmon slices was just right, going hand in hand with the generous amount of creamy and savoury mentaiko mayo.

Go for the ultimate seafood don for a mix of river eel, pan-seared Hokkaido scallops with mentaiko mayo, foie gras, ikura, tobiko, onsen egg and rice served in a hot stone bowl. This is a good choice for those who don't take raw seafood.
The unagi was fresh, well-grilled and coated with a savory-sweet sauce that brings out the eel’s delicate flavour. The scallops were lightly seared with a golden brown exterior with a delicate balance of savory and tender flesh inside. The only downside was probably the texture of the rice which turns out a little too mushy. This is still pretty worth the deal if you have beyond to make use of their 1-for-1 mains that applies to this ultimate seafood donburi 》$48
Thanks Burpple for the invite and Saketoshi for hosting 🙂
Slice of grilled freshwater eel glazed with eel sauce served on a bed of rice, onsen egg, red pickled ginger then topped with nori and white sesame seed. The eel was tender with slightly crisp skin. The addition of onsen egg adds creaminess to the bowl 》$19.90
Salmon, tuna, swordfish, octopus and scallop sashimi topped off with a spoonful of salmon roe on rice. They serve good quality and fresh sashimi at an affordable price. Somewhere to visit if you are hungry for cheap and good chirashi 》$12.90
Salmon slices are flame-seared and slathered in mentaiko mayo sauce before being blow-torched with some fragrant char. The mentaiko mayo gives a creamy mouth-feel which goes well with the soft and melty salmon slices to go with rice 》$11.90
Plump and meaty unagi with sous vide egg sitting on a bed of rice, topped with nori strips and sesame seeds.
The grilled unagi has a very light crisp on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside and glazed nicely with sweet sauce. The portion of grilled eel to rice was good, soft and not too many bones in there which makes it easy to eat. Each set comes with a bowl of miso soup. I felt the portion was just nice for me but may not be enough for an extremely hungry belly.

Roasted wagyu slices wrapped nicely around the rice to form a pyramid, topped with sous vide egg with a white sauce made of yoghurt, sesame and Japanese mayonnaise then sprinkled with a dash of pepper. Each set comes with a bowl of miso soup.

Salmon and mentaiko are made for each other. The salmon went well with the aburi mentaiko sauce and would appeal more to those who love that creamy mouthfeel.
Each bowl comes with salmon, mentaiko sauce, sushi rice, tobiko, onsen egg and seaweed salad. The tobiko and tempura bits added some crunch to the dish while the salmon cubes were lightly torched with mentaiko sauce and retaining the freshness and melt in the mouth texture. it would be better if the sushi rice was more vinegarish.

A comforting bowl of pan-fried Japanese pork belly with sweet sauce on rice. It comes with onions and is very balanced with the sweet sauce. I request to change my white rice to sushi rice at no extra charge 》$10.50
If you are unsure what to order at Man Man then just go for the most popular choice on the menu - Hitsumabushi.
Hitsumabushi is a Nagoya speciality where grilled eel is coated with a layer of sweet sauce and placed over a bed of rice. There are different ways to eat Hitsumabushi.
Divide the bowl contents in a cross to obtain four equal portions. Simply place one portion of the eel and rice in a bowl, mix and eat it plain where you get to savour the original flavour. Add condiments and spices like nori, spring onion, radish and wasabi to the second portion and enjoy the taste and texture. Similar to the second portion, add the remaining condiments and pour the dashi over the third portion for a comforting bowl of ochazuke (rice soup) and the last portion is to be eaten with your favourite choice.
The thick unagi slices are char grilled to perfection with crispy grilled skin and tender juicy flesh. I like the second portion the most where I get to enjoy my favourite condiments along with the succulent and melt-in-the-mouth unagi. Prices are a little steep but totally worth the treat to ourselves once in awhile 》$35
Rice, chicken, teriyaki sauce, onsen egg and lok-lok broccoli 》$6.50
Hideki is a Japanese Fusion Poké Bowl Concept where you can freely select your favourite choices to satisfy your taste buds. It allows us to build our own bowl where we start off by picking our base, protein and sides then finished with a complimentary sauce of our choice.
The chicken was marinated for up to 48 hours with a secret shoyu marinade before they are cooked sous vide-style to retain their juiciness and end off with a charred abrui finish. It was firm to the bite, served with a nicely torched exterior with smoky notes to the meat. One of my favourite sides will be the lok-lok broccoli that was fragrant, slightly charred and crispy.

I'm in a relationship with food. Why can't we just declare our never ending love and vows towards some food item? I'm sure that would not result in divorces.
