I just had Jia Li Seafood Soup for dinner, and I must say, it was an absolute treat for the taste buds. The highlight of my meal was the crayfish seafood soup, which was packed with the perfect combination of flavors and textures. The succulent crayfish complemented the tender batang fish beautifully, creating a seafood medley that was both satisfying and delicious.

What impressed me the most was the lightness of the soup. It's an ideal option for those seeking a healthy meal without compromising on taste. The broth was subtly seasoned, allowing the natural flavors of the seafood to shine through. A satisfying meal to end the day!

People’s been raving about One Prawn & Co and I got to try it for myself - and I wasn’t disappointed.
What I ordered:
- Tokiko prawn balls and prawns, yellow noodles, soup ($14)
- Ngoh Hiang tasting platter ($8.50)

The noodles and soup were served separately; the soup was served boiling hot in a mini clay pot, keeping my soup warm throughout my meal. If you are a fan of fried pork lard, you can expect a generous serving of crunchy pork lard topped over the noodles. Shiok! The umami-packed prawn broth has to be the highlight of the meal, it’s so flavourful (Gao)! Best of all, you can request for soup refill if you can’t get enough of their prawn broth!

Ngoh hiang tasting platter was great too! Love the crunch from the crispy prawn cracker and the other fried chinese fritters were yummy. Not to forget, the dipping sauce goes really well with the fritters!

Another point worthy of mention is their great service staff. They were really attentive, smiley and helpful.

Price-wise, it’s definitely on the pricier side but considering the quality of food and satisfying meal experience, it warrants a second visit!

Drunken poet is a great place to wind down after a long day of walk in town. They were generous with their food serving and food were served piping hot! Fish and Chips were extra crispy and I liked that I was given malt vinegar to go with it. I also had the Chef’s Babyback Ribs - very tender and flavourful! Love the chill vibes at the bar, perfect for drinks. Will definitely visit again!

This is my 2nd visit to the cafe and I didn’t have to wait for a table this time (around 12am on a weekend).

Tried their mango bingsu but it was overly sweet, particularly the ice cream and mango syrup. I wouldn’t recommend this flavour. Their chocolate bingsu and thick toast were pretty good when I tried it on my first visit.

I can have their Original Soy Milk Tea with White Jade Balls everyday! I LOVE IT! It’s basically Soy Milk and Osmanthus Tea with tea jelly bits, topped with 3 mochi balls coated with cheese foam. Super yummy!

It’s good to see a Japanese Restaurant in the heartlands. I tried their Salmon and Crabmeat Spicy Mayo Donburi, portion is small for the price and I was a little disappointed that the crabmeat served is the imitation kind.

The waiting time is not too long, and staff were extra courteous and attentive. Food quality and portion can definitely be improved to keep up with the prices.

The fried chicken here tastes like the ones I had in Korea. I tried both K.Curry and Garlicky Soy flavour for my fried chicken, the chicken was well coated with the seasoning/sauce, making it taste really flavourful in every crunchy bite.

Also, I usually hate getting chicken breast for fried chicken but Chir Chir made their chicken breast meat really moist!

Would recommend people to make a reservation in advance as there was a long queue at the restaurant during my visit.

First time trying a yoghurt tea and it’s really good! I ordered the watermelon yo-tea and added pearl topping - really refreshing and shiok for our hot weather! It should be a good drink after dinner as the yoghurt can help with digestion.

Unlike usual yoghurt drink, I didn’t feel gelat/jelak and I was able to finish the whole big cup of it. The other flavours look interesting too, recommended for all to try!

Had Mentaiko Grilled Salmon Don for lunch at Gyu Co.

Taste wise - Decent, lots of mentaiko sauce topped with a little ikura and mentaiko.
Portion - Just nice for me!
Value - For just $3.50, I get to top up my main with a set which comes with a chawanmushi, miso soup and drink. Definitely value for money!
Ambience - Outdoor seating and could be a little warm for our tropical climate.

Overall, a good place to dine or takeaway if you are looking for affordable Japanese food!

Located inside EatBox at Tekka Place! There are variety of interesting food stalls to choose from.

I tried the ice cream and waffles at SugaRush on my first visit. Waffles is crispy on the outside and moist inside. The strawberry cheesecake and rocher ice cream are good choices! Will come again!

Had a late lunch at Belo last week! Service staff were courteous, comfortable seating, and most importantly, food was delicious!

They serve all-day breakfast items till 4pm! Suitable for people like me who usually skip breakfast 😂! The portion for my Grand Breakfast is huge!

Popped by this gem located along Bukit Timah Road for my first time after reading so many good reviews about Meat n Chill. And wow, it didn’t disappoint!

I ordered their original signature BBQ ribs and three little pigs burgers 🐷 on my visit. Each main dish came with two sides which you can choose from an extensive list of choices. I managed to try the following 4 sides: cheese fries, coleslaw, mashed potato and sautéed mushrooms. The one that stood out most was the cheese fries! Was expecting it to be the usual fries with nacho cheese but nope! Fries was covered with melty, stringy cheese… simply delicious.

BBQ ribs was good, tender and flavourful. Three little pigs burger, as the name suggests, came with three different kinds of pork in it, bacon, pulled pork and spam meat. Spam meat lovers will love this burger like I do. Every bite was so satisfying. Will come back for more!
