4⭐ Wkday lunch with WB. The lunch set is only available at 3 outlets so we went to Vivo outlet. We ordered the Menu B $68++ which includes: Full portion spanish pork collar, full portion nagano pork belly, 4 pc cheese balls, dried scallop fish paste, half portion black fungus, full portion chinese cabbage, 4 pc pork and chive dumplings, 2 pc ramen and 3 soup base: spicy nourishing broth, tomato broth and wild pine mushroom broth. The portion is meant for 3 pax though so it's very filling for 2 pax. This deal is quite worth cos usually soup is charge separately and is quite expensive.

4⭐ Preferred the Gucco Tower outlet hence make a reservation. It turns out to be almost full house. The sauces bar is available now so we get to choose our preferred sauce and side dishes. We ordered a set each and add on a pork belly and a drink to hit $80 as there's $10 off for using Amex card.

3.5⭐ Impromptu dinner at the newly open Shabu Daisuki By Tap. Burpple has 1 for 1 ala carte buffet deal. The meat variety includes US black Angus Ribeye, Pork Collar, Chicken & Wild Snapper. The premium buffet is not eligible for the burpple deal. The soup is only pork broth, sauces served are peanut sauce and yuzu sauce. The vege bowl includes dang o, cabbage, enoki mushroom, button mushroom, daikon and tofu. This hotpot is more japanese kind and WB prefer those steamboat with spicy soup or sauce.

3.5⭐ WB preferred the Tanjong Pagar outlet as he find the ingredients freshest here. I ordered fish set with chicken soup and WB ordered lamb set with Mala soup. The fish set was not available for dinner in the past and I finally has a chance now. I will definitely ordered fish in the future. Although we ordered set menu at City hotpot, the portion is quite filling for us. I preferred the quality of the vegetable here to wagyu more although wagyu more is buffet style. WB insist on giving 5⭐ for hotpot.

3.5⭐ Throwback to ytd dinner. WB made me promise him to eat steamboat for dinner since he accompanied me for high tea. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We had the $11.90 set which includes a meat, vege basket, noodle/rice and a soup. WB chose spicy chicken while I had mixed pork.

4⭐ Had WB favourite food for dinner. We went to the Guocco Tower branch as the ingredients are fresher here. I had the pork belly and chicken soup while WB had lamb leg and Mala soup.

3.5⭐ We are here bcos there's 2 for 2 Angus Beef Buffet using Burpple Beyond. The concept is similar to City Hotpot as there's individual pot, just that it's buffet style here. The buffet duration is 90min and is quite strict here. I find the meat quality here is better than City Hotpot.

3⭐ Book the 50% discount through Eatigo a month ago. WB is so happy to eat steamboat again but my reaction is 🙄. We had Sukiyaki and Kimuchi soup. I love dipping the meat in egg after I first tried it at Shabu Sai, so ditch the sauces. Bill came up to $26 for 2 pax after 50% discount which is a steal.

3.5⭐ Ok, I don't know what get into me that I agree to eat steamboat with WB. We just ate Bijin Nabe last week. 🤨 I had Tonkotsu soup and WB had spicy soup. We ordered 2 plates of pork, chicken and beef each and 3 plates of pork belly. I have seen on variety show that Japanese like to dip the meat into beaten egg when eating sukiyaki. I tried and it's surprisingly good, there's a hint of raw egg smell but don't feel eating something raw.

4.5⭐ There's no queue when we reach there at 2pm for late lunch. Since we are not very hungry, we ordered ala carte instead if set. We chose the 2 type of soup base - original and spicy. The spicy soup is very appetizing and quite mild for someone like me who don't eat spicy food. The ala carte soup don't comes with the chicken unlike the set but we ordered the meat combo which includes chicken, pork and beef.
