Cafe Foods 🥙
Salmon sandwich comes with a side of nachos and salsa, basic but yummy! Staff were also kind enough to help us fill the dog’s water bottle and lend a bowl.
1-for-1: 60 degree chicken & porky bowl
60 degree chicken was pretty good, tender and tasty. It came with some hazelnuts, which were unusual but surprisingly went well with the mashed potatoes.
Porky bowl was basically a pork katsudon. Japanese rice topped with pork and egg, standard but good!
Given the unusual setting I expected the food to be a little more interesting, if I come back I don’t think I’d order any of the items in the 1-for-1 promo.
Rather non-traditional waffles, smaller and thinner but still very crispy and delicious. Had a choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, the vanilla ice cream is thick and creamy, really pleasantly surprised that it isn’t from a cheap tub. Fruits were fresh and syrup was generous, probably my favourite item here :)
We came for the mochi donuts but it seems they’ve been discontinued :(
Tried to use 1-1 for a latte + cold brew but was told that deal is only valid for 2 of the same kind, no flavoured drinks as well (which was not the case at other branches we went to)
Been here twice already, the decor and vibes are really nice, spacious and clean. Although it’s opened recently the weekend crowds have already begun, and it gets pretty noisy then.
The croissant was quite fluffy and crispy, but didn’t come with any condiments or toppings. Apple strudel was sweet and crispy, not anything too special too though.
Overall I’d come back during non-peak to study, but given the pricing not too often and definitely not during weekends.
Cafe was crowded so we were seated in the back area next to toilets. The vibe is quite different and not very nice, although it would be perfect for a very very private meal.
The beef cheek was really tasty and tender, going perfectly with the smooth mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce. Unfortunately the prices are quite steep compared to other cafes, I wouldn’t return without 1-for-1.
