Generally my go-to place for a cup of hot chocolate. My choice of 75% Tanzania is slightly bitter and mildly sweet.
the Dark Chocolate Mousse tasted like a Kinder Bueno. It had the nuttiness and bits of crunch from the hazelnuts, and rich and creamy texture from the chocolate mousse. Overall a subtly rich and sweet dessert.
This plated dessert is a recreation of an American campfire classic with a scoop of sea salt caramel ice cream. Shaped into a cube, the "s'mores" had layers of biscuit crunch, brownie and marshmallow top that was toasted into melty gooey-ness. Overall it was quite dense and missing the satisfaction.
With a feel for chocolate, the Bon Bon was a delightful symphony of chocolate and hazelnut. It was creamy and crunchy as it contained bits of wafer biscuits. Personally I felt it could be less milky and richer in chocolate.
Supposedly a chocolate tart but it tasted more like a brownie and cake combined into one decadent chocolate dessert. Pleasing to the eye and the tartness of the raspberry sorbet went so well with it. Just maybe the "tart" could be richer.
When you are at a chocolate bar, definitely got to order chocolate. The lava cake was moist and expectantly oozing out with warm molten chocolate. Overall a good lava cake that wasn't too fudgy and overtly sweet. It's pricey though considering I was expecting more when compared with others I've had.
This took the cake...or in this case, the tart. The molten dark chocolate fondant tart is accompanied by rum ice cream atop a bed of chocolate soil. The rum ice cream was 100% amazing and I would recommend to have it by itself to enjoy its full flavour. Together with the slight bitterness from the cherry compote, this plate of dessert was absolutely decadent and a must-have. 😋👍
Chocolate lava cake is a super decadent dessert and this version just level it up a notch higher. Perfectly fudgy, gooey and rich, the molten lava cake was filled with a salted caramel surprise. If this is not super indulgence, I don't know what is. 😋
(PS: We thought it was a normal lava cake as it was given to us complimentary as the staff accidentally cancelled our orders. Kudos for a good customer recovery and experience. 👍)
Benns Ethicoa and The Brass Lion Distillery have come together to craft this elegantly designed box ($28) of locally crafted gin-filled bons bons. The chocolates are not only asthetically beautiful but with three different types, each piece tempted the taste buds that embraced our Southeast Asian tropical flavours.
Featuring the White Pea, the Milk Juniper and the Dark Pahit, the white bons bons were lighter and most refreshing out of the trio with butterfly pea gin and hints of earl grey and lavender blending well together. My favourite was the dark with its gin being the most evident with a balance of bitter-sweet from the dark chocolate, lemon caramel and candied orange peel.
Looking forward to more of such bean-to-bar trend. 😋
The dry and crumbly biscuit added texture to the dark chocolate ice-cream that was super rich with an intense bittersweet taste. Super indulgent and delicious! 😍
Super comforting to sip into a cup of hot chocolate on a cold rainy night. I had the 70% Costa Rica which was a nice balance of sweet and bitter. Perfect! 😋
I tried the new limited chocolate frozen yogurt and added the rocher sauce, making it a cup full of chocolatey and nutty goodness. As much as I love chocolate, I think I will stick to the original flavour in future for its tangy-sourish taste.
