Terrible. It was frozen in the middle and only had one finger in it?? Stick to their duck confit and lamb.
This was decadently gooey and chocolatey. Below is a kind of lava cake with crusty bits at the side.
This dish was excellent. The meat, albeit small, was so Consistently tender and well cooked. The gamey lamb taste was just right and the sauce was on point!
The duck skin was so crispy, and the meat was so tender it just fell apart! The rosti was accompanied with fried onion flakes too I think? And the mango sauce was refreshing!
Quite tender as well but I couldn't pull this apart with a spoon, unlike the duck confit. Also, the mash was a little clumpy (not that smooth). Surprisingly, the lamb taste for this was quite mild.
Quite tender -- the tendon didn't come as a lump but melted into the meat. However, the tenderness was a bit inconsistent, especially at the thicker pieces. Also, the gratin could be more creamy.
Not much caramelised taste unfortunately. It tasted like beef stock with boiled onions in it :(
Very garlicky and buttery. Not much snail taste at all, which was welcome, and the texture was bouncy and fresh.
Dishes here are extremely overpriced. Food-wise, it's quite enjoyable but for these prices, there are restaurants with better ambience elsewhere because it's located in some HDB complex next to a Springleaf prata π. The restaurant only has 1 indoor table and the alfresco dining feels like a cozy backyard but I it didn't feel classy to me. This gimmick seems to work for the expats though, who make up Summer Hill's main crowd.
The duck confit itself wasn't really that tender. Though the duck confit here took a backseat, it allowed the accompanying foie gras ravioli, mushroom sauce, and mousseline to shine through. The mousseline was divinely velvety and went so well with the strong mushroom sauce.
Very enjoyable! The mussels were full off flavour despite the very liquid sauce. The sauce itself was absolutely bursting with savoury flavour that I couldn't stop dipping my bread in.
Good and tender. The hazelnut added an interesting crunchy dimension to the dish that made the meat taste almost sweet and chocolatey. The mash was also extremely smooth!
Better than KFC I guess. Sadly, the price is 10 times of KFC chicken but probably not even thrice as good. It's also extremely oily.
