Sold at a flat price of $5 per box, the stall has a whole array of kueh and desserts to choose from. Opted for the kueh dadar - it seemed to be popular among customers! The skin is a tad thick but the pandan flavouring is distinct. The coconut filling yields a burst of gula melaka with every bite! We also like the kueh salat and bobo chacha here :-)

Food here is on the pricier side, but that doesn’t stop a crowd from forming! The nasi lemak ($6.50) rice is fragrant but not too overwhelming, paired with a sweet sambal and salty ikan bilis. It’s served with fried chicken cutlet, sayuh lodeh and omelette! Portion is generous and all in all a yummy meal :-)

I had my reservations about this fusion dessert, but it far exceeded my expectations!! The panna cotta ($8.90++) is light but creamy, topped by a layer of coconut jelly with coconut shavings. It sits amid black glutinous rice, individual grains still distinct despite its stickiness. The components complemented each other perfectly - it embodies the traditional flavours without being too sweet. Definitely an innovative rendition of a classic dessert!

Was really excited to try Godmama after reading all the rave reviews about it! We ordered set menu C ($88+) for our Mother’s Day celebration. Opted to collect from the restaurant - there was some delay, but that’s understandable given the high volume of orders. The staff had great service recovery :-)

For appetisers, the set came with emping belinjo keropok, fried wings, ngoh hiang and otah. The crackers were slightly bitter from the belinjo, but really addictive and we quickly chomped through the box. The mid wings, fried in a spice mixture, were extremely tasty. Particularly enjoyed the ngoh hiang, which had a generous bite of prawn & minced meat in crispy beancurd skin. The otah was another favourite with its spicy kick and abundant mackerel!

The rice was served with achar. For mains, we had ayam buah keluak, babi asam and chap chye. The chicken was very tender and fell apart easily! The black nut flavour wasn’t very evident in the gravy, but it packed a tangy spiciness. The pork belly melts in your mouth and the tamarind comes through cleanly, with a sour tinge characteristic of asam. The chap chye had a great mix of vegetables in a rich broth.

The set also came with their signature pulut hitam panna cotta! Greatly enjoyed the food - would love to have a meal at the restaurant when restrictions ease 🌟
