BB WESTERN
Generous portion, medium rare cook to perfection with a gradient pink on the inside. Paired really well with either salt or sauce. Meat has a nice sear outside and soft and juicy on the inside.
I savoured every bite of this steak, still juicy and paired very well with the melted butter (although its slightly more than medium rare). It also comes with a generous portion of truffle fries, which scent is on the lighter side. The steak is memorable, though i would also wish for its fats to be more melt-in-your-mouth kind of tender. Most of the menu is western/indian/middle eastern fusion.
($28) came here on labour's day eve, hence didnt get to enjoy the 1-for-1. Nevertheless, we left with happy bellies!
The Pork Cheek Pasta ($23) from Rookery is good! The al-dente pappardelle (a broad and flat pasta) reminds me of mee hoon kway:P The pork cheek is simmered in a delicious tomato red wine sauce and topped with herbed breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese and parsley. I love how the flavours and textures complement one another. You know the food is good when you find yourself eating slowly just to make it last😬 P.S. There is one-for-one promo on Burpple Beyond:)
I love meeting friends at Cafe Milligram - for its chill vibes and brunch food! The beef quinoa bowl was v satisfying for all our palates - its chewy red quinoa, juicy steak, the well seasoned greens, mushrooms e.g.
A rainbow in the bowl makes to brighten up any day! Cant rave the same for the tomato cream gnocchi. Though i like the soup, the gnocchi was a lil too mushy for my liking. Extremely flavourful nevertheless!
($19 for both, with burpple one for one 😊)
Such a good deal! Ordered the seafood roll with chilli crab sauce for one and mentaiko sauce for the other. The bread was well toaster and though we only reached home close to an hour later, the bread didnt turn soggy from the chilli crab sauce.
My husband personally preferred the mentaiko sauce. I love both!!
Ordered the beef and chicken basic burger. Would recommend the beef burger! Fries are good and crispy. Good deal with beyond 1 for 1! Staff was very friendly and prompt
The Armoury Burger ($23) comprises of two wagyu patties, bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato. The bacon added a dash of savouriness but the beef was a tad dry, with a flavour that was not distinct. The sauce tasted like thousand island! The bun was pretty dense but well buttered, and the fries sprinkled with paprika. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype of being a namesake burger.
You can choose from 3 levels of spice for your chicken — mild, extra and insane.

Prawn Olio Olio ($18)
Carbonara, But not really ($16)
Crowded on a Friday evening. Prawn Olio Olio was quite unique with sichuan garlic oil and lap Cheong crumble. It was pleasantly flavourful and everything goes well with the texture of the curly pasta. Carbonara like it’s name suggests, really differ slightly from the usual ones. The sauce was lighter with the fragrance of mushrooms making the dish very smooth and not too sickening till the end. Overall think it’s fusion done right, portion looks small but surprisingly it was quite filling. It’s worth trying as Beyond makes it really a good deal. But not sure whether will return as choices were limited.
For a quick fix during lunchtime, find this spot housed in Singapore Shopping Centre for a fulfilling rice bowl meal. Fire up the Sets ($14) here, which come with a choice of main, miso soup and choice of drink (canned, black coffee, black tea). On mains, pick from the deliciously tender Beef Sh-nack Don, to the flavourful Prawn Lak-sta Pasta – each comes topped with a satisfyingly runny onsen egg.
A recent addition to the food scene at Amoy Street is @mpiresingapore, a western-fusion dine & bar serving mouthwatering mains that complement their array of booze. You can take a tour in their very own private chiller room where they store their collection of wine in a well-controlled environment 🤩.

What stood out to me most was their entire chunk of beef cheek burgundy. Its fork-tender red wine-braised meat fell apart upon contact and was nicely seasoned. Paired with a pile of creamy mash and you will have that perfect main course that can satisfy anyone!

Thank you @dawnchansg for extending the invite and @mpiresingapore for having me 🙆♂️!

Got the spicy salmon don and added $2 to change it to shirataki noodles (a healthier low-carb option). I quite liked the texture of the shirataki noodles actually! There was a generous portion of salmon which tasted fresh too. Paid $18.90 for both dishes!
