Hawker/Zichar/Comfort food
Although it’s lacking in terms of wok hei, the savoury broth and bits of sliced pork makes this so addictive.
Zichar shop (Chong Seafood) located at the coffee shop next to Kooks creamery. Beef slices were thick and the sauce was flavourful. Rice was on point. Excited to try the other dishes available here.
At the price and being served in aircon comfort, I would say this bowl is quite a steal. Additional brownie points that they were generous with the beef slices. A pity that the broth was super salty and that made it hard to finish the meal.
Always back here for the fried egg and the generous amount of greens.
Comfort food on a rainy day.
Price includes the addition of fishcake and egg. Standard has dropped so much. Rice was mushy and clump together. Duck meat was tough and miserable. More skin than meat. Disappointing meal.
Unbelievable steal with thick cuts of roasted chicken breast meat with a good serving of veg from Jubilant Hainanese chicken rice stall. Rice was pretty meh though, oily and lack fragrance.
Fluffy, fragrant and drenched in oil. This huge omelette all fluff with little meat. Still taste nice though.
Crispy well fried chicken wings that packs a solid crunch. Could wipe it all on my own.
One of the few places that have decent fried kuay teow at such a good price. Wok hei was faint but the serving of fish cake and lup cheong were generous.
Rice was no doubt well fried with eggy fragrance. But the shrimps was tasteless and the squid was almost non existent.
Chicken rice lacked flavour. Chicken was dry and chewy. Not worth the calories.
