Smoked salmon egg benedict ($16.90++)
Very nice!! Eggs were runny, the smoked salmon, spinach and toast went very well together. Portion was substantial and definitely very filling. Service wise, one of the older female waitress was pretty rude and even rolled her eyes at us but the rest of the service staff were attentive and nice.
Braised angus beef cheek ($18++)
Comes with pommee puree, pickled melon, 5 spice pepper, smoked eggplant salad, tamarind bbq sauce.
The overall taste was wellbalanced but interesting. Meat was soft and very tasty.
Chicken chop ($7)
Chicken piece was huge!! Chicken skin was crispy and tasted nice with the slightly peppery mushroom sauce. The coleslaw and baked beans and fries too made the entire meal very filling. They give you a buzzer after you order so theres no need to queue there. Loved it!
Shishito chilli chicken ($18+)
Comes with 2 pcs of chicken, garlic potato buns and yoghurt dip. The chicken portion was considerably big and had a strong cumin taste. Rather spicy and the strong taste may be too overpowering for most people? Buns were crisp on outside and soft fluffy inside.
Laksa pasta ($21++)
Laksa taste is not pronounced enough and it was very very bland to the extent that we asked for salt from the restaurant! The linguine was cooked al dente. Soft shell crab was crispy and nice though. Overall i still wont order this dish again.
Duck confit ($18.90++)
Duck confit cames with "wok hey" rice noodles. The Horfun was quite nice but I didnt taste the wokhei. The base had mushrooms and salted egg York with plum sauce, which was an interesting combination and went well with the duck. Overall quite a good dining experience.
Duck burger ($17.90++)
Had this with burrple beyond 1 for 1 so it was really worth it. Fries portion was substantial and i liked that they were nice to the bite.. crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and also well seasoned. The smoked duck burger with charcoal bun tasted really good, just that as with smoked duck slices, harder to cut and chew. Other than that, would say that the burger was on point.
Baa-ger ($17.90++):
The ground lamb patty was juicy, goes well with the cheese, pickled red onion, slaw and homemade garlic aioli in it. Generous amount of fries comes along with it too.
Pork Chop ($6.50):
Pork chop was tough and not marinaded, needs more seasoning. The sides- Fries, coleslaw, garlic toast was not bad.
Chicken chop ($6.50)
Portion is okay. The coleslaw was very average.. fries were rather little and airy.. not much bite nor potato taste.. garlic toast was crispy though. Chicken was alright. Just a very average chicken chop, nothing to come back again for.
Impossible truffle burger ($29++)
Impossible patty, smoked cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, truffle aioli, mesclun salad with parmesan fries.
A filling meal, and the impossible patty is a good alternative on days where you dont crave meat.
Spicy crabmeat linguine ($26++)
Comes with generous crabmeat, pinenuts and tomatoes and chilli. Dish was well balanced and yummy! Not too spicy as well.
