Cafe-hopping 🙌🏻

Basic us got The Brewer’s Breakfast ($26) for sharing and it really came in a generous serving which compensates for the higher price tag 🤪 For the maple bacon, it is slightly different, it’s a thick cut one just like your lor Bak and not those crisp thin kind! Mushroom, spinach and scrambled eggs are done to perfection, yums 💯 Added a bowl of Burrata salad as well, time to learn how to do this at home to avoid expensive costs outside!😂

Thanks JZ for introducing me this pretty lil cafe which is few months old at Bukit Timah with books available to chill while sipping on your coffee and looking out of their huge glass windows, sounds perfect right? 🤗 This is what I just did earlier today, with their milky B&B pudding and a hot cup of latte 🙌🏻

😋 Their sister branch, @thecitrusbistro at Sengkang which is also located right inside the swimming complex. Talk about dining “by the pool” 🤗

🍔 Shiok Burger ($12.90, served with Cajun fries) — Savour the crispy deep fried chicken thigh, sliced tomato, crisp lettuce and sunny side up egg, topped with spicy chilli crab sauce on toasted sesame seed bun. You can’t finish it in one bite though 😉 🍖 Cajun Lamb Rack⭐️ ($21.90) — Pan-fried lamb was meaty and firm. Flavour wise, it was indeed substantial combined with the softness and juiciness of the lamb meat, topped with homemade brown sauce. 🐟 Catch of The Day ($16.90) — Pan-seared salmon was fresh and served with seasonal vegetables, mashed potato and their newly invented cream sauce. 🍝 Tom Yum Seafood Pasta⭐️ ($13.90) — Our favourite of the day!! Pasta was al-dente and soaked in their signature tom yum broth which was savoury and spicy 😋
🍫 Molten Chocolate Lava Cake⭐️ ($10.90) — Must order here, every lava cake order is served freshly! 😍

🌶🍝 Spicy Marinara Spaghetti ($17.90) — Topped with a decent amount of seafood, do not be fooled by its color as it can be quite spicy which is the differentiating factor from other pastas 😬
🍔 NEW: Lava CheeseBurger ($14.50) — Really interesting dish, literally lava cheese because it was injected with a syringe of hot cheesy sauce melting into your burger!! Beef was also done perfectly and not too dry 😋
🍖 Tender Baby Ribs ($19.90) — Must try from the menu! Tender marinated ribs which was really easy to eat from its bones. However, BBQ sauce didn’t really bring out the flavour for us, so it is highly recommended to get other sauces if possible ☺️

The ambience here was exactly like a bakehouse, decorated perfectly for a cozy dinner ☺️

All of us thought that the 4 spice Chicken liver pate ($12) was really something unique, great for sharing with 2 person.
The second best dish was the blue mussel and grilled prawn saffron-fennel risotto. Seafood was fresh and had the exotic flavors that we were looking for 😋
For some reason, the Beef Ragu pasta took them so long, around ~30mins, which was even longer than the fish, chicken and seafood risotto ☹️ Expected damage: ~$12-$23

Sunday’s brunch was 💯 esp with great coffee, food, service and company!! 🤗

🥩🍝 Beef Ragu ($19) — This pasta topped with beef shin and cheese was well seasoned and had an al dente texture. Extremely generous serving too!! 😋
🍞🍣 Poached Eggs Salmon ($16) & 🥑🍣Skinny Eggs Ben ($17) — In general, their extensive eggs breakfast menu is a must try!! The smoked salmon in both of our dishes was flavorful and filling too 😀
Besides their beautiful poached egg, Skinny Eggs Ben had avocado smash which was not bland but well seasoned, to our surprise.

🍖 Breakfast Steak ($24) — Unanimous agreement that this was the best dish. Beef was juicy and generous, couldn’t conpile
🧀 Mentaiko Mac & Cheese ($20.50) — Second best dish that we’ve ordered! Wasn’t as jelat as we thought and we had best of both worlds, mentaiko and cheese 😋
🦀 Crab Benedict ($21) — Before I forget, gotta give credit to their eggs, most of the eggs were cooked to perfection!! Topped off with soft shell meat and crabmeat everywhere, perfect!
🍓🥑Strawberry Avocado ($18) — Creative dish if you are someone that likes to try something new, but slightly on the pricey side!
🍗 Chicken Rosti ($16.50) — Chicken was bland and was one of the worse dish we had, we would have preferred if its taste wasn’t as dull as it looks ☺️ Cafe Ambience: 4.5/5

Food was awesome and portion was quite huge! Would like to visit again next time ^^
