Burrple Beyond

Didn’t really taste the truffle in the truffle fries ($11), however they were really generous with the portion and cheese! Wouldn’t order again though, cos I really could only smell the truffle 😭

Had the beef steak (~32) and bbq pork ribs (~32). Wasn’t really satisfied with either, beef was way too hard to cut and chew, making it rather unpleasant. Fries were too salty and hardly had any potato. BBQ sauce on the pork tasted one dimensional.

Wanted to try their food but probably my first and last time here. Place was really overcrowded and loud, service was extremely slow (waited 30min-1h). Really disappointing bc portion of unagi was pretty generous but it was dry (or perhaps cos I waited about 1/2h more for my friends main.......). Place was very understaffed

Sambal sea catch was an interesting fusion pasta, with substantial ingredients (prawns, clams, crabstick), served in an aesthetic jar!

Place was comfortable and good for long talks!

Was expecting an aglio olio style ( similar to cedele’s), but was pleasantly greeted with black pepper sauce and a decent amount of crab meat. Black pepper sauce was just the right amount of pepper and not spicy (for those who can’t take spice), a pretty interesting dish. However, the more I ate, the more sick/ tired I got of this black pepper sauce 😩

Tried some of my friend’s pulled beef and kimcheese burrito (~$18), which was really good, coming from someone who’s a huge fan of pulled beef/pork 👌🏻 Fries were a little dry/hard though, but was still good when eaten with chilli sauce

Great 1for1 deal with burpple beyond, but wouldn’t pay full price for it. Might come back for others though 😋

Read a couple of reviews which stated the laksa pizza was a must try so decided to get it, and I wasn’t disappointed. On first bite, I tasted the cheesiness and crispiness of the pizza, but the distinct laksa flavour kicked in soon after. Prawns and quail eggs really integrated the laksa into the pizza, making it an interesting and very yummy dish!

Umami prawn aglio was tasty as well, with 4 juicy prawns and bonito flakes!!! were!!! such a good touch!!!!!!

9/10 will be BACK 😻😻

In the words of my friend, "the best burger i've ever eaten". Can't comment on that bc I didn't have the burger, but boy was the fries good. I mean who isn't a sucker for curly fries? Crab meat pasta was amazing as well, packing that right amount of spice to make it shiok but not too much that I couldn't take it. Wasn't ridiculously oily too which is a plus point for sure. Quite a substantial amount of meat so I'm really satisfied. Will be back to try out the burger heh. 8.5/10

Tried the crayfish pasta (~25), with 2 crayfish and loads of pasta! Very generous with their serving 😌 the di mare pizza (~28) was filled with seafood yet didn’t taste too fishy, something that many pizzas usually can’t avoid. Service was amazing and wait staff were really attentive 😛 would be back to try other items on their menu

Was rather average, though the almond butter did go along with the açai! Bowl was rather filling too but didn’t really taste exceptional.

Croissants and scrambled eggs (~$11) was yummy with a buttery croissant and fluffy eggs, although my Friend mentioned that the egg portion used to be more 😩 side salad was a lil strange cos it tasted salty (???) so didn’t touch that. Sweet potato fries (~$9) was really good but imo not worth the price for the portion.

Would be back to try other stuff on the menu 😛 7.5/10 due to affordability w beyond

White wine Vongole (~$19.90) really impressed me, as it didn’t look that great, but it really stole the show 😋 portion wasn’t that much though. (8.5/10)

Pancakes beef burger (~24.90) was sweet and savoury at the same time, and gathered mixed reviews from my family. Egg was really runny, just how I liked it, although I feel it wouldn’t be worth the full price. 7/10

Overall great ambience with live music and very comfortable setting. Service was amazing as well 😄

Simple & classic unagi don, didn’t expect much for the price. Definitely tasted more Taiwanese style with the spices and quantity wasn’t the most, but then again it was pretty affordable! Unagi was a little fishy/ soury tasting so not quite sure how fresh it was, a little apprehensive about it but it was fine in the end.

1 for 1 with burpple beyond made it come up to about $9 per person with drink, which was really worth it though might order something else in the future 😩
