Pizzas
The Cheesy Maru Oppa has a pizza dough made of green tea that you can actually quite distinctly taste, which I was quite impressed with because I thought the whole "green tea dough" and "wellness dough" thingy was all but a gimmick. I'm glad I was wrong though.
The pizza dough was so delightfully chewy and I'm actually reminded of the artisanal loafs that you find at bakeries such as Duke Bakery!
Cheese lovers should definitely top up an additional $3.20 for the double cheese twist crust because it was the best decision of my life π I could just binge on the pizza crust stuffed with a generous amount of gooey cheese.
A large proportion of the pizza here, or at least their specialties/signatures seem to cater more towards those with a sweet tooth.
A perfect example would be this Real BBQ chicago. The pizza dough is actually made of black rice and in case you were wondering, its not only the colour thats different because you can really taste the difference in the pizza dough too! The crust was really thick and glazed over with sugar coating which made it really crisp. Theres also a side of strawberry jam(?) provided which had a nice jelly-like consistency, though I would personally do away with it because the pizza on its own is already more than enough to satisfy my sweet tooth!
However, i have to admit that the pizza was lacking in the mentaiko factor and i even forgot for a moment that i was eating a mentaiko-flavoured pizza π . Was expecting a much stronger mentaiko taste. I felt that the pizza was overly salty, especially with the generous amount of smoked bacon given. Definitely would not want to finish the whole pizza alone as i would have to chug down a whole jug of water with it π Sticking to 1 or 2 slices would be enough.

The first bite had me thinking that the pizza was quite the ordinary tomato-based pizza. However, as i continued with the rest, the pizza slowly impressed me more and more with its many dimensions of flavour.
The pizza was mainly topped with smoky sausages, chunks of fresh mozzarella, jalapeΓ±o, pesto sauce, chilli and rockets. The roasted duck breast was drizzled with hoisin sauce, which made the pizza really palatable and addictive and i just couldn't stop myself from reaching for more π I also liked the use of crispy popiah skin as a pizza topping as i felt that it lent an extra oomph to the texture and taste of the pizza. The popiah skin kind of reminded me of potato chipsπ Would totally order it if they had it just as a side too haha!
Definitely one of the better pizza at timbre and a must order!

You are sure to hear the distinct crackling sound of the pizza as you take each mouthful. The pizza crust definitely resonated well with me, doughy and slightly chewy despite the rather huge air pockets present.
We tried the Mixed Mushroom ($26) and the Burrata Pizza ($28). Of the two, I personally preferred the former, which featured a combination of Fontina, Taleggio and Fior Di Latte cheese as well as truffle cream and finally topped with a generous amount of juicy mushrooms. On the other hand, the Burrata Pizza would perhaps cater more to fans of tomato-based dishes.
