We are not sure what sorcery it was, but the skin separated from the flesh perfectly well, with a layer which looked like sugar to us, caramelising the outer layer of the flesh. Egg Benedict with smoked salmon. French toast with tropical fruits. The serving size was hugeee! We were so full that we skipped lunch. Be prepared to wait in line under the rain/hot sun! The plain soup was very refreshing. Pork meat was quite juicy and went well with the light broth and soba! We also got an order of fried rice (which was like sticky rice with pork bits in it). Be sure to be there 20mins before they open! Kouri shrimp wagon! This is the garlic butter and lemon one for 1300 yen. Comes with rice, sweet potato chips and some bittergourd (which we didn't try eating). Weekday queue at late 2 plus pm was about 20mins! (Quite pricey actually + they didn't have any proper waiting area that isn't in the sun and didn't have any table/chairs to dine at now. We drove done to the resting stop station which had some picnic table and chair to eat our me! But a wrong turn took us on the expressway which was speeding towards the city...So we decided to skip unagi (we eventually didn't have any unagi meal in Okinawa because the other one in naha was sold out by 5pm even though operation hours were till 7pm!) and went straight to our 2nd half lunch place. that's how we ended up with 2 pancake dishes! (Pancake overdose until we had to give the other famous souffle pancake at "happy pancake" on senega island a miss) the bf was mega happy with the "king bacon pancake" which came with a HUGE THICK slab of bacon ok! 👍🏻Not the thin dried bacon that we were expecting. The other bestseller was the nut nut pancake which had some nutty sauce with bananas.
