This ‘1950’ eating allay definitely bring us back in time. We suggest you to walk around (there are 4 small lanes in total) before making your food choice. We pick the one which is not too crowded but still were seated in front of the grill! 😜

The special set ¥1300 with edamame ¥300 per person and plum wine ¥400 & beer ¥450 didn’t make us full but the atmosphere cheer us up! Visit there if you can spare some time.😉

Fate has its way! 🤓 the last time we heard about this place was that they are closed (for renovation due to fire) and we almost cross off this place from our must-eat lists. However, they are back!! We are super excited to try this historic Soba place as we heard that it was featured as a soba training place for @masterchefau masterclass 4.😇

We ordered Agetenmor (cold Soba served with Squid & prawn tempura) ¥1100 and Kamoseiro ¥1650 (cold Soba served with hot duck soup) first time we try duck Soba! and OMG! It is not too over cooked (just perfect duck slices in the dipping sauce). 🦆

The restaurant has both Soba (buckwheat) and udon(wheat) noodle options.

Except Morisoba + ¥150
It couldn’t get more authentic than this! As the place is frequent by locals more than tourists. Be mindful and observe local norm.
Don’t forget to pour hot Soba soup in the kettle into your bowl and slurp them all up!! 👍👍

Qualm the heat with high street udon (left) & soba (right). The stall is basic with machine order system. Got the meal ticket, walk to the order counter to fine tune your dish (pick between Soba or udon) and get your dish in 5 mins. It is a fast food chain restaurant with presence near major train stations and each menu costs less than ¥500. We particularly enjoy the Shibuya outlet as the hostess is really friendly.👌🤓

Not a hidden gem, neither a cheap value eat place. This place is our unusual choice and we don’t regret trying this eatery specialised in deep-frying dishes. 🤓

Other than ‘Suzukien Asakusa’ with their famous matcha intense gelato, this is another must-visit place for matcha lovers in Tokyo. With 2 floors seating & cozy atmosphere, Mihashi (3 bridges) is perfect for catch up and date night! 😍

The dessert bowl is topped with 6 quality ingredients: Hokkaido red bean, little red peas, gelatin, orange, syrup made with Okinawa red sugar, and ‘Gyuhi’ (unlike mochi) and of course the matcha soft serve!! All this for ¥790. Might be sweet for some but we give thumbs up for natural sweetness. 👌

The well known sushi place among locals and foreigners. It offers a fuss free fresh & delicious sushi experience. We got the queue ticket and use their tablet to order: 👉

Heard about this customized ramen store for a while. While it’s not strange to order food on machine. 👉
1. You pick the basic ramen ¥850 (required)
2.Then you choose how you like (toppings, side menu)
3.Retrieve the meal ticket
4.Retrieve the change
Waited to be seat with a paper with more options to choose from.
5 mins after we step into the seating area, it’s like sitting in the exam room. Everyone has their own cubicles. Hand the paper then the curtain is closed. After a while, each of us is served with hot ramen. Nothing much we can rave about taste. It is tasty but we will only go there if We are in rush and can’t queue for lunch. Good things are in the unique experience and price point. Free filled for water and you can refill noodle and toppings if you wish!
