I was a little taken aback when my order of wanton noodles soup came in a small soup bowl .
Granted that the price of 35 dollars is much cheaper that most wanton noodles that are 55 or more out there - I was hoping to be served in a decent bowl.

However - one bite into these wantons and no complaints .

I like how the noodles are slightly more string-y and thin then as compared to the others I have tried so far .

The broth is also fantastic . I figure that the noodles were served in a small bowl to conserve that superior broth that is cooked with the real stuff .

I would travel to Hong Kong again just for this bowl of perfection .

4 to 5 huge slabs of fish meat in Silky congee that has the right consistency and seasoning.

The best porridge shop I must say .

Causeway Bay

It’s a yearly tradition to visit chee Kei although prices have been increasing.

Its perhaps not just the wanton noodles alone that draws me back but the idea of having my hot ginger barley drink and my favourite poached cai Xin some just right in superior broth .

The wantons and noodles are good enough and the service is brisk and fast .
