Holland V Good Food
$17 for a bowl is slightly pricey but the whole dish came together very nicely. The noodles were well-cooked, eggs had a runny centre, the aburi (flame seared) cha-shu had a magical combination of both a smoky flavour and really tender meat.
Me and my family’s favourite egg tarts! My mom is partial to the plain ones (also $1.90 for one) and while I also love them, there’s something irresistible about the Pandan egg tarts. The taste of Pandan in the silky custard filling is distinct but not overpowering and pairs beautifully with the biscuit-like crust.
I have been a fan of these from my first bite.
Found my newest favourite brunch spot for the weekends. 🤗 Known for their gluten-free bread and healthier options, this place is pretty popular and the busiest eatery along Chip Bee Gardens on a Sunday at lunchtime. I went for a relatively lighter option of veggie quiche and Raw Energy salad set ($11). Really liked the salad, really refreshing and naturally sweetened. The hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict with Crispy Bacon ($17) is pretty rich and creamy, and is one of the more popular brunch choice there. Oh and this place is dog-friendly with an outdoor eating space too! 🐶
😍😋👍🏼

Something’s missing ... ...
I miss island Creamery ‘s presence at Serene centre . Everything thing seems to be moving and changing . I recall the good ole days when my parents would rent that video tapes from Rida video at Serene centre and my Sister and I would pop by MacDonalds for a quick ice cream treat .
Island creamery is the to go place for me when I crave for ice cream done the way I like . Not too sweet and perhaps a little less milky but really the way I like it . ...
Something has changed at this new outlet . . .
The servers have changed ... there’s no longer that maroon coloured wall with all the random photos ...not a big enough space for groups of friends to come and go . Is just not the same anymore . . . Less homely ...
The brownie was a let down today too . It was really way tooooooo sweet and too sticky ... And there were Parts of it that were salty - perhaps from an uneven baking . The Black Forest ice cream ( still good )scoop was also visibly smaller ....
Pretty disappointed because I was craving for a good soft and moist brownie and I couldn’t find the free ice water ( which they used to have ) to wash away that sweetness in my throat .
I miss everything about island creamery being at Serene centre 😌
There something so chewy about their pancake, that I absolutely love. "Bready" and dense, this sweet-nothing topped off with berries and a scoop of frozen yogurt hit every point of yummilious. Definitely a plate to share, after having their mains. The hot and cold combo, dance in delight while the sourish berries compote balance well with the sweetness from yoghurt. Definitely great for an afternoon tea!
The shoestring truffle fries served here are superb & comparable w the ones in Ps Cafe. Generous portion, perfectly golden & crisp yet fluffy on the inside. Blanket in a cobweb of glorious cheese, you won't be able to stop munching till they're all gone! Love that they have alfresco seatings & are dog-friendly. The staffs here are well-trained & very friendly. They even served my pup a bowl of sparkling water. Yes, sparkling. Bubbles & all!✨ You can be certain that made my pooch really happy. Their hot chocolate was really creamy & not overly sweet. Great vibes, great food & great service. Would definitely visit here more often! 🌳
Sea Salt Gula Melaka - the Asian sibling of salted caramel ice cream reminded me of buttery brown sugar and freshly baked cookies. Topped by crunchy caramel roasted almonds mikado and fluffy Gula Melaka mochi, it was the perfect sinful indulgence.
Hazelnut milk chocolate, on the other hand, was a rich creamy affair. I absolutely loved the almond thins and honey toasted granola crumbles.
