Happy Sunday! If you are looking for somewhere to chill, relax & enjoy good food and desserts around dhoby ghaut area. Time to drop by @frapasbar located at level one of The Cathay!

Joining in the hype to try @gonoodlehousesg spicy hakka sauce with century egg noodles and added additional signature bursting meatball as we happened to chance by the store while we were @313somerset .

Personally, I feel that the spicy option is only recommended for those who are able to enjoy spicy food as I would rate the spiciness level 8/10 and thus do be prepared with a cup of water with you!
The pi dan goes really well with the springy noodles and the other toppings such as crispy ikan billis, pork lard, black fungus, spring onion etc!

If you are also a fan of berries, I would recommend you to order the fresh mixed berries slush with cream foam. Machi Machi uses 12 fresh blueberries & 5 strawberries to prepare the smoothie and a special tea base which produces a natural fragrance of the drink!

The Jasmine Green Tea with Plum Jello is my all time favourite, suitable for individuals who prefer something light & slightly sour with the meishu plum from Meishan! Time to jio your fellow foodie friends to drop by 25 Arab Street soon!

A bottle of soju with ice blended yuzu 🥰, something light and refreshing to chill with this weekend.

Ribena + Yakult are one of the few favourite beverages of mine, and when you combine them, it taste equally good as well!

Happy new year eve to everyone! It’s my first time trying a boba toast ($2.50) and I personally like it a lot! Initially, I was expecting it to be sweet and jelat, but surprisingly it was not! As a fan of cheese, the cheese within the toast goes well together with the pearls.Definitely something that I would go for again if I were to revisit @amazinghoki
@amazinghoki is a hidden gem located within 2-3 mins walk from toa payoh interchange and hdb hub. As the name of the shop represents 福气,which means a kind of blessing.
It was also our 福气 to be invited and hosted by the friendly @amazinghoki team ! Will be sharing more their drinks in my upcoming post!

Celebrate the festive season by enjoying the tipsy surprise xiao long bao @ $2.80 with every order of the exclusive dishes such as:

🍽 Shanghainese Crispy Duck served with Lotus Bun (Half) $30++
🍽 Pan-fried Chilli Crab Bun (3pc) $10.80++
🍽 BBQ Pork Pastry in Shanghai-style (3pc) $5.80++
🍽 Dong Po Pork $19.80++

Enjoy the tipsy surprise xiao long bao by starting from the beer one, followed by red wine with cheese, chinese wine, whiskey and lastly the cognac dumpling. My personal favourites would be the beer and red wine with cheese xiao long bao, the xiao long bao is juicy and it is wrapped in a thin and delicate dumpling skin.

Personally, I have also enjoyed the BBQ pork pastry in Shanghai style. The pastry is flavourful and the bbq pork is tender! Definitely will not mind going for more of it!

The tipsy surprise xlb promotion is now available till 19 Jan 2020 exclusively at Funan outlet.

Thank you @brandcellar for the invite and @paradisegrpsg for the warm hosting!

Thinking of where to jiak holiao during the weekend? Perhaps it’s time to check out @imperialindulgence which is located at Basement one of @chinatownpointsg . This is my first time trying terracotta pastry and I am certainly impressed by the crispiness of the Jingzhou Empress Pastry (故宫皇后饼). The first flavour which I had tried is the Golden Pork flavour which is filled with succulent minced meat which has been marinated for 48 hours! Just by eating the minced meat within the pastry makes the pastry really flavourful.

While around 4 hours later, I decided to try a piece of it cold without heating it up! I was surprised that the pastry itself remains crispy and the Hae Bee Hiam flavour concludes to be one of my favourite out of the four flavours! There are also flavours such as Salted egg chicken floss and gula malacca flavour for those who prefers something sweeter! During our conversation with Roy, he mentioned that he went on a family trip to Jingzhou recently and really enjoyed the pastry itself and decided to learn from the shifus while including a SG version!

In a palace, apart from food, we must not forget having a cup of great drink! Wu Ze Tian Mountain Dates Milk is definitely a drink that goes well with the pastry! It comprises of red dates and natural rock sugar which is a healthier drink as compared to the bubble tea! I have tried the wu ze tian’s jealousy red dates matcha milk and love that the taste is just nice for my non sweet tooth with the natural fragrance from the red dates and rock sugar!

Currently, @imperialindulgence is having a promotion, you can simply buy one and get the second item at 50% off!

Thank you @baking_taitai for extending the invite & @imperialindulgence for the warm hosting & yummy treats!

As a fellow eastie myself, I would recommend ramly burger lovers to visit @ministry.of.burgers , where burger lovers gather to enjoy freshly prepared ramly burgers with customised order of your choice.

We have tasted the following items:
🍽 Burger Double Patty ($6.90)
🍽 Thunder Burger ($11.50)
🍽 Cheezy Papadum ($1.90)

If you are famished and need something to recharge your “depleted battery”, do check out the thunder burger as it comprises of four patty which will definitely help you to restore your energy up till the maximum.
Ministry of Burger is Singapore’s first Ramly concept store with halal certification which offers a range of ramly patty such as chicken, beef, fish. For those who are keen to order for school or company events, you may contact the store for bulk orders.
Oh yes, not forgetting their cheesy papadum, which is something that I have enjoyed and it is rather addictive!

Thank you @ashleyoms for extending @makanwarrior invite, @ministry.of.burgers for the yummy meal!

Located in the West Wing of @sunteccity , Pasta Supremo serves freshly handmade pasta with interesting fusion options available. One of my favourite pasta would be the Prawn Olio Olio ($20). The prawn olio olio is a fusion pasta dish with an interesting combination of Sichuan style garlic oil which gave me a slight mala tingly sensation on my tongue, with a generous sprinkle of tobiko (Japanese Style) and lap cheong crumbles (Chinese Style Sausage).

On the other hand, Pasta Supremo also serves Stuff on Bread such as the Mushroom & Truffle Cream ($4), Bak Kwa Jam ($5) and Cheesy Cheese AF ($5). Definitely a place where one can consider visiting for fusion pasta!

Located just nearby Yishun MRT station, Flaming Chicken Pot is definitely a place which is ideal for gathering with our loved ones! My personal favourite would be their black pot, as personally I am a fan of 宫保鸡丁 and the black pot itself is 香味可口, not forgetting that the chicken portion was generous and the meat was tender.

The white pot is suitable for individuals who enjoys peppery based soup, they have included pig stomach in the soup as well. You may add on side dishes to be included in the pot. Anyway, it is definitely shiok especially during raining days to enjoy a pot of flaming chicken pot!

A foodie who feeds her phone before feeding self. Enjoys exploring different food places.
