A new healthy salad bowl place has opened at the basement of Tanjong Pagar Centre! There are so many of these “build your own” salad bowl places in Singapore, but few have the ideal combination of taste, value, quality and health (some of these bowls can be really oily/salty). Kipos Gourmet fulfils all this criteria!
My bowl cost $13 and consisted of:
Base: Brown rice & soba noodles
Protein: Norwegian salmon sashimi (+$3)
Greens: Coriander, edamame, broccoli, radish & spinach
Dressing: Truffle shoyu (which really does taste truffly!)
Crunch: Crispy shallots, hemp seeds & nori
Lux it up: Guacamole
The portion was very decent with ample amounts of fresh salmon. Definitely gives the nearby Daily Cut a run for its money ;)
Yes, poke bowl places are everywhere in Singapore now, but I recommend you don’t overlook this one!
Located in a bright space on the 5th floor of Orchard Central, Poke Lulu distinguishes itself from other poke spots by offering unlimited kimchi, purple cabbage, Japanese pickled ginger and more at the self-service counter. There’s also a wide selection of dressings you can add to your bowl.
I got the Medium bowl ($15.90) with 150g (2 scoops) of Original and Wasabi Mayo Salmon on brown rice. The bowl comes with salad leaves, and you can pick 4 toppings plus a premium topping, making it a rather hearty bowl!

Sometimes the best food in a restaurant isn’t necessarily the most instagrammable dish :)
