Journey to the west to try this highly recommended (by my foodie friends) fried hokkien prawn mee from The NeighbourWok, that’s located at a coffeeshop in Bukit Batok.

I must say they were right, the fried hokkien mee here is really delicious, and I dare say it’s worth travelling all the way down here to eat this! The wok hei game is really strong here, and the noodles soaks up all the essence of the broth really well, giving it a flavourful and moist taste! This hokkien mee has pork belly, sotong, prawns, pork lard (lots of it) and sambal chilli, and the $5 portion is really generous. Come try it for yourselves!

Besides fried hokkien prawn mee, they also sell satay which I heard is pretty good too. Will order some to try next time when I’m back!

This place is the Creamier-equivalent for the Westies! The waffles were crispy & fluffy while being paired with delectable gelatos. An additional plus was the warm and friendly service provided by the staffs here.

We’re back to the usual weather in Singapore, and the mango ice kachang here will surely help to cool you down.

Excellent curry chicken puff! Crispy on the outside & the fillings inside are piping hot & comes with generous portions. Oh, and they are open 24 hours too, perfect if you have midnight curry puff cravings.

I was totally blown away by how good this plate of char kway teow was! The wok hei taste is strongly infused into the noodles, making each bite well worth the calories. If you don’t wanna go all the way to Penang for char kway teow, this is a pretty darn good alternative!

Super love the chicken rice here. The fragrant tasty rice is complimented by the tender, smooth & juicy chicken which simply makes this one of the must try food stalls in the Bukit Batok area.

The fried fish was super crispy & yummy, possibly the crispiest that i’ve tried so far; zero hint of any baking soda that I taste from many stalls. The soup (with milk) was very good as well, so do yourself a favour and try this if you are in the Yuhua Village area.

Pratas here are freshly made on the spot, unlike some of the prata places I’ve been (Thohirah I’m looking at you). The pratas are super crispy & fluffy, and it comes with curry and sambal chilli. Seriously, i wouldn’t mind traveling down all the way to the west just to eat this.
