Replacing the former BAKE Cheese Tart outlet, the Zakuzaku flagship store will offer the famous Croquant Chou, a kind of stick-type cream puff that is filled with fresh cream and completed with its unique crunchy texture.

Each Croquant Chou will retail at $2.80, while a set of 4 will retail at $10.50. The store will also be offering soft serve ice cream (cup or cone) and Hiyazaku (crispy puff containing soft ice-cream), retailing at $6 and $3.80 respectively. Limited edition menu items unique to the Singapore store will be available as well.

The challenge is to finish a plate of Dynamite Spicy Spaghetti Aglio Olio within 10 mins and your meal will be on the house, plus you’ll get to win a free tower of beer or a bottle of wine. The dish may look innocent but trust me, it was fiery as hell! The spaghetti and fresh prawns cooked in olive oil, garlic and chilli flakes was given a twist with homemade fiery sauce made from Habanero peppers, chilli flakes and chilli padi. We literally gave up after our first mouthful, i dare you guys to try this!

One participating merchant is Sushiro, a kaiten (conveyor belt) sushi chain from Japan. Overall, there were hits and misses (mostly hits) with the items we tried. I'd recommend the melt in your mouth Fatty Tuna Sushi, the very umami Sea Urchin Dry Ramen and Sea Urchin Gunkan, and the super creamy Crab Croquette! (Pro Tip: book your queue number via their mobile app to shorten your waiting time)

This is my verdict of the premium pancake from @gram_pancakes_singapore: the soufflé pancakes were so soft and fluffy. Its subtle flavours were complemented by the salted butter, maple syrup and sweetened whipped cream served on the side. I enjoyed every bite as it struck a balance of sweet with a hint of savouriness.

There's been pretty mixed reviews so far but i’m definitely a fan.

We were treated to authentic Balinese flavours with dishes like Ayam Panggang Bumbu Rojak (Tamarind Baked Chicken with Tangy Glaze), Babi Guling (Roasted Suckling Pig), Gulai Kambing Jakarta (Yellow Lamb Curry with Potato), Babi Goreng (Fried Pork) and Satays (at the live grill station) paired with an array of extensive sambal chillies. The desserts were delectable too with the made on the spot Dadar Gulung (choice of coconut or mango), macarons and the delicious Bubur Pulut Hitam.

Our usual order is the red bean chendol ($2). The thick gula melaka, pandan jelly, sweetened red beans and coconut milk atop smooth shaved ice make for a refreshing & satisfying combination.
