Although its called Savoury French Toast, its more of a sweet and salty meal. The toast with butter and syrup is so yummy I wouldn’t mind if they just gave me more of that. At first I found the braised apple kinda weird, but it cuts through the oily and saltiness of the bacon so it becomes a cycle of sweet and salty which is nice.
Crispy, flakey and fragrant this might be of the best croissants I’ve tried. Despite how crispy it is, the dough still has a nice chew and isn’t just hard, great texture.
I also tried the apple one as well and it was really delicious. I had to wait in the store for a new batch to be baked for half an hour or so, but the buttery fragrance that drifts out makes the wait really relaxing.
Wanted to try their pancakes so I went very early (one of the first few customers) but I was told it was sold out. The eggs were not overcooked and paired well with the avocado for a filling meal. Not amazing but a good meal for cheap price in town area.
Creamy perfectly scrambled eggs with juicy meaty mushrooms, sourdough, thick stab of bacon, pork sausage and salad. One of the best scrambled eggs from the cafes I have eaten at so far and the juicy mushrooms were my favourite parts of the meal. Not a fan of the avocado as they added some kind of lemon or lime to the mix. A very decent and filling breadfast but I would recommend their Breakfast Sanga more.
Really flavourful steak that is cooked sous vide, it was really tender till I came across this 10% of the meat that I wasn’t able to chew through. Not sure why.
Of course a place called Scrambled has the most fabulous eggs I’ve ever eaten. It’s creamy, buttery and well-seasoned with salt, pepper and chives that is a sure winner.
I recommend getting it with the signature fries which have this nice herb-like savoury flavour.
Yummy brioche bun with emmental cheese and a thick slab of bacon and egg. I requested for no pickles. Simple but so delicious. The staff is really friendly and the place has a relaxing and nice vibe. Recommended!
Beef burger with cute gudetama fried egg and bioche bun. Among character cafes, gudetama has pretty legit food. The beef patty was actually still juicy but I did wish it could be more rare. There is a ton of fries on the pan it was served on. Overall it’s okay pretty good although a lil costly. Everyone is here for the cuteness afterall 🍳
Pretty good, very savory smoked portobello and thick slab of bacon. I wished the bread was more toasted it looked abit too plain.
Yummy avocado with pesto and cheese. It’s a surprise how much I enjoyed despite not having any meat. The avocado is creamy and the pesto really helps to add flavour and makes the whole sandwich pop. Must try for avocado lovers 🥑 !
I cannot believe that pork patties could be tender but here I was proven wrong. With moist patties and yummy buns. I opted for wedges which are a great unhealthy comfort food.
Went during a weekday and it was crowded. Tried their mocha but it wasn’t quite warm enough and found it was a bit lacking in flavour. Coffee isn’t their strength but their cakes are.
The Citron blanc is a lemon tart done right. A good balance of the lemon curd and light cheese.
The Yatsura is their signature and a must try if you’re there.
I want to give a shout out for their cream puffs. They look really ordinary but the choux puff is just this right combo of chewy and lightly crunchy. The texture is something I don’t see elsewhere.
Pretty pricey but one of the best burgers I’ve eaten. Juicy angus beef and a huge portobello mushroom. Good place to hung out and chill with some drinks. The truffle fries is good but got too cloying after a while.
