My colleague loves to say "Beef Bowl," and I've always wondered what that is. Finally, I got to try it!
I won't lie; the waiting time can be quite long, especially during lunch hours when it's all counter seating as you watch them cook your 'beef bowl'.
What I love about this place is that they offer three sets to choose from: beef, pork, and upgraded beef sukiyaki don. All at a steal price of $14.90++ per person, which includes 1 half-boiled egg, 1 chawanmushi, and 1 miso soup.
I chose medium for my beef, and it was incredibly tender. I practically wrapped my rice and the complimentary pickles inside the thinly sliced beef.
And if you love how Japanese enjoy their rice, then be sure to mix the half-boiled egg into your rice and give it a good mix.

Headed back to the place where my bf and I had our first date - Ma Maison, and it wasnβt disappointing at all.
He actually decided to be a baller and try their Premium Aged Miyazaki Porkloin (Rosu), while I had their tempura prawn with porkloin. Their Miyazaki porkloin tasted really very premium, the fat melts in your mouth while the meat is tender, with the crispy outer layer of coated breadcrumbs.
While tempura prawn and porkloin is passable, if you fancy something other than porkloin, then their fried tempura prawn or even oyster will appeal to you!

This has to be the freshest sashimi I have ever eaten! The toro melts in your mouth literally, and with wasabi, it enhances the freshness of this fatty tuna. While the uni is so creamy, and you donβt even have to chew or even swallow it because it just slides down by itself (it starts melting on the ice bed if we put it there for too long too!).
My favourite part of eating them is to put as much uni as possible onto the crispy seaweed, wrap it and bite it in one mouth!
When we headed over, they ran out of their charcoal calamari, so we ordered the charcoal octopus instead which tasted amazing as well, I love to match it with the japanese sauce given which elevates the pleasantly charred flavours in the octopus.
The Clam Soup gives out a really refreshing taste with the radish and slight orangey-yuzu taste, which helps to clear the palate before our mains.

Last post of @nokasg !! I think they are way way too good to be a carousel post so three post of different food!!
Sushi is definitely a staple for me whenever I eat Japanese cuisine and just look at this gorgeous plate of sushi!! Iβve died just by looking at them again!
If youβre heading to Noka, a small secret for you! Their delivery is on Tue and Thu, so the freshest seafood arrives on these two dates! We went on a Thursday then, and definitely FRESH!
My sushi recommendation have to be these: Uni sushi, Otoro sushi and Chu toro sushi!

Saw my feed that @kiyoshi.75 handmade their soba, and canβt wait to try them out! We ordered the snow crab tempura zaru soba which tasted so good, and ate the tempura while itβs just served, because it was sooooo crispy and good, no taste of bad oil at all. While the soba tasted really different from the soba from other places, it doesnβt have that strong green tea taste yet it is good, original and al dente.
We also ordered some of the sides, which is good, I feel their food is in general taste and good but slightly costly. But then again, good food does cost a little more and I donβt mind it at all! Highly recommend to order their angedashi tofu as well!

If you are someone who likes a strong punch in your meal, then this is definitely for you! Ramen Nagi's Black King (SGD$15.90) has a thick and strong garlic taste within the silky broth, finishing off with chashu, minced pork and black sesame.
Personally, I still loveee their original butao king as that is more mild and I could taste the richness of the pork broth. But if you are up for a switch, this might be a delightful choice!

Ginza Anzu has to be our new favourite katsu place! Their Ginjo Pork Fatty Fillet Katsu Set (150g) - SGD$32.10 serves with a bowl of rice and miso soup. Their Ginjo Pork Fatty fillet is juicy and tender on the inside, while the skin is very crispy.
The only downside is that they don't have free flow rice, and salad, also, their sauces are quite limited. We also tried their Pork Loin Katsu Set - SGD $23.54, which isn't as juicy on the inside compared to Ginjo Pork Fatty Fillet.

I crave fried food whenever I'm sick π This is one of the nicer tonkatsu in Singapore but I still miss the ones in Japan!
@mamaison.singapore offers a wide range of tonkatsu, and I chose pork fillet. The tenderized meat was amazing, but you have to eat it quickly or the oil from the cutlet will intensify the pork flavor - a bit too strong for my liking.
Also, they do offer free flow rice and salad, which makes it really worth it!

@sanpoutei_ramen_singapore is famous for their concentrated simmered noodles
The beef beef (the dip) is very concentrated and towards the end, please do add some water so it doesn't taste way too salty. It has small bites of beef inside the dip!
The noodles are really chewy and the texture grab the dip so well!
This portion of noodles was their X1 portion and look at the mountain of noodles (slide left please)
The only thing is that eating this way too much of this will be sick, so highly recommended to order green tea to wash your palate

Always loved truffle and want to put some inside your ramen as well?
@kanshokuramen not only put truffle oil but the real truffle into your ramen broth!! I love how the truffle taste is not overpowering, which goes really well with the creamy broth π€€
It is also insane how affordable a truffle broth ramen

This have to be my favourite udon place located in ion basement 4!!
Marugame offers a quality and a huge hot bowl of udon at a reasonable pricing, for this is clam udon is priced at $12.90 π its so affordable in town area!
Also, they have tempura for you to purchase, or head to self serving counter to take the free tempura bites π€€
A $2 'enterance' fee for a beverage is a must due to the limited seat in the restaurant. All the seats are high seats and it's rather pleasant to see how the chef prepares the food right under your nose literally.
Had the Sanshoku Chirashi Sushi ($22) and shared the Aburi Salmon Maki ($15). It's actually more than enough to have the Chirashi if you have small appetite as I could barely finished it.
The Sashimi are all cuts to huge chunk and it's pretty fulfilling π
If you ain't a fan of Sashimi, fear not because my friends had grilled salmon and grilled eel which are equally nice and huge portion.
I would say the price you're paying is pretty worth it for having dinner in the town area.
