The tom yam fried rice was fragrant and very tasty, they have a generous portion of prawns in this too.
The butter squid was crispy and flavourful, I liked how there was shredded mango to balance out the flavours.
Got Steelpot Jumbo Canadian Scallop Vermicelli and SteelPot King Tiger Prawn Vermicelli from @shrimpprawnseafood we really enjoyed both! The seafood is fresh and the scallops were sweet too. I liked the spicy kick from both the black pepper and the seafood chilli as well 😋
Got our fried chicken fix at Shuang Bao Thai Hatyai Fried Chicken, a stall in a coffeeshop near Bedok Mall. Despite not hearing about it on social media, there was a long queue and a 40min wait even though we went near 6pm. Some things such as chicken skin and lu rou fan were sold out when we ordered and all the chicken were sold out when we collected our food. The fried chicken comes in various sets, we got ours with rice and mango salad. It was very crispy and tasty, just like what I had in Thailand but a bit more salty than usual. We also tried the fried pork belly rice which was pretty nice too but the chicken is clearly their signature. Will go back again earlier so I can try the other things in the future! 😋
It's difficult to find good Phad Si Ew in Singapore but I'm glad I tried the one from @ahloythai because it's one of the better ones I've had. The noodles were chewy, flavourful and full of "wok hei". Especially enjoyed how it wasn't too oily too! 😋
One of my favourite Thai dishes is baked glass noodles and I really liked the one from @shrimpprawnseafood! The noodles were so silky soft and flavourful and you get to choose to have them with one of their many ingredients. The scallops were juicy with their sweetness and there was quite a few of them in my noodles as well.
The clear tomyam seafood soup which came with a generous portion of ingredients and a nice spicy kick.
This had a nice variety of ingredients. I am not a fan of this however, because the soup was too sweet and not spicy for me.
Had Tom yam noodles with Thai milk tea as one of the lunch sets. The soup was flavourful and slightly spicy with quite a lot of ingredients too. They have quite a few dishes for their lunch sets as well.
The kway chap was very peppery and spicy with a strong garlic flavour. It was very good and reminded me of the kway chap I had in Yaowarat in Bamgjok too.
I loved the soup kway chap because it truly reminds me of what I have in Thailand! The soup is nice and peppery with a strong garlic flavour. The kway was very smooth as well. The portion isn't reflected in this picture but it is a regular one person's portion.
This was really flavourful with a strong chye por flavour which makes it fragrant. The kway is nice and chewy plus it's not too oily!
